    New dial-in experience! Set up Fuze Meeting before the show if you want to join in live. It's that time once again, where we wrap up a bit of news and commentary on this week's TUAW Talkcast! We'll be chatting about some good security settings, and plan to drive another nail into the "iPads aren't for content creation" coffin. As announced on the show last week, this will be the penultimate episode of the TUAW Talkcast; we're wrapping up our seven-year run at the end of July. If you are interested in joining us live, you only have this Sunday and next to make that a reality. Reminder on new-style talkcasting: With some help from the fine folks at Fuze, we're using a new system to record the show. This should let everyone listen in live -- and, if you want, raise your hand as you would in the Talkshoe room to get unmuted and chime in. You can join the call in progress (meeting # is 20099010) at 10 pm ET from any computer via this link; if you download the Mac or Windows Fuze clients ahead of time, you'll get better audio and a slicker experience, but browser-only will work fine. Just click the phone icon to join the audio once you're in. Using an iPhone or iPad? Grab the native clients from the App Store and get busy. (Even Android users can join the party.) Still feel like using the conventional phone dial-in? Just call 201-479-4595 and enter the meeting number 20099010, then press #. While the Fuze web and native clients have a chat channel, we'd like to reserve that for host participants, requests to talk and other real-time alerts... so the full-on chat for the show will appear in this very post at 10 pm tonight. You'll need Twitter, Facebook or Chatroll credentials to participate in the chat. We'll remind everyone to check back in at that time.

    All-new dial-in experience! See below -- do not call into Talkshoe, we won't be there. Be sure to set up Fuze Meeting before the show if you want to join in live. As with most Sundays, we're going to wrap up the weekend with the TUAW talkcast! Last week's show included a variety of predictions and a nice discussion of where we think Apple is headed in 2014 (spoiler: We decided they were headed to Awesomeopolis). This week we have special guests! Adam Christianson of MacCast fame will be joining us, as well as beloved friend of the show, iMore's own Peter Cohen! Along with my compatriot Mike Rose, we will spend a bit of time discussing CES and look ahead to when some of those announcements might become reality (because Kelly loves a good crazy theory), and cover a little bit of the (Apple) gaming news we've had lately. Reminder on new-style talkcasting: With some help from the fine folks at Fuze, we're using a new system to record the show. This should let everyone listen in live -- and, if you want, raise your hand as you would in the Talkshoe room to get unmuted and chime in. You'll need Twitter, Facebook or Chatroll credentials to participate in the chat. We'll remind everyone to check back in at that time. Your patience and forbearance with our new tech is appreciated in advance. For the time being, the podcast feed of the show will continue to originate from Talkshoe and should be there within 24-36 hours. See you tonight!

We're still breaking in 2014, and we'll do so discussing our predictions for the remainder of 2014. All-new dial-in experience! See below -- do not call into Talkshoe, we won't be there. Be sure to set up Fuze Meeting before the show if you want to join in live. Another Sunday, another TUAW talkcast! We're in the thick of the Christmas season, so we'll probably be discussing gift guides, unless you really want to talk about iOS 7 adoption rates (almost as crazy as holiday shopping), or perhaps iBeacons (possibly crazier than holiday shopping). Reminder on new-style talkcasting: With some help from the fine folks at Fuze, we're using a new system to record the show. It's Sunday once again, like it or not, so as we come to the end of the weekend, we also come to the TUAW talkcast! Tonight we'll have a special guest: MacTech editor-in-chief Neil Ticktin, who'll join us to talk about this past week's MacTech Conference in Los Angeles. So we will spend a little time discussing all of the awesome you missed if you weren't there! It's Sunday once again, so we come round to that long standing tradition, the TUAW talkcast! Provided our regular contributors haven't melted in the late summer heat, we'll have plenty to discuss. Aside from the movie release this week, we have some other historical news with the story of Marimba, the iPhone's default ringtone, and whatever else you'd like to discuss! All-new dial-in experience! See below -- do not call into Talkshoe, we won't be there. Be sure to set up Fuze Meeting before the show if you want to join in live. It's Sunday, and it's time for the TUAW talkcast! Hopefully we haven't lost too many listeners to the heat. Hopefully we'll have a lovely batch of developers with us since the developer portal is still down. This usually means developers end up resorting to things like socializing to fill their time, so who knows who you might have on the show this evening! We also have Logic Pro to discuss, and there's an excellent chance we'll do a bit of speculating on the aforementioned outage. We'll be sure to discuss the other news of the week as well, so please join us! 04.21.2013

    Another Sunday, another Talkcast. There has certainly been a lot of news this week, none of it was Apple related. So we'll be kicking back and enjoying a nice quiet week of news. There's no clear agenda, so we'll call it "Open Mic" night. Ask your questions, bring your perplexing technological conundrums and other big words, and we'll have some fun. Or you can bring a bottle and pour one out for our favorite tech company which is clearly, irrevocably DOOMED. :) And Kelly's hosting tonight which means Aftershow, and you know what that means? I hope someone does... Since it's really all about you, the community, do see if you can join us, won't you? To participate live, you can use the browser-only Talkshoe client, the embedded Facebook app, or download the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for +5 Interactivity, you should call in. For the web UI, just click the Talkshoe Web button on our profile page at 4 HI/7 PDT/10 pm EDT Sunday. To call in on regular phone or VoIP lines (Viva free weekend minutes!): dial (724) 444-7444 and enter our talkcast ID, 45077 -- during the call, you can request to talk by keying in *8. If you've got a headset or microphone handy on your Mac, you can connect via the free X-Lite or other SIP clients (aside from Skype or Google Voice), basic instructions are here. Talk to you tonight!

    Another Sunday means another talkcast! As you may have noticed, Kelly's put some prep work in for tonight. We have some special guests tonight coming in from Dolly Drive, and we'll be discussing backup services, and cloud services, and what happens when you get your backup all in your cloud, or your cloud all in your backup (I forget which way it goes). Tonight, aside from the usual Aftershow Shenanigans, we have giveaways! Aside from the LIFETIME accounts we're giving away on the site (see the "noticed" link above), we will also be giving away a couple of those same lifetime accounts live on the show! Yeah, I thought it was pretty nice of them too. Since it's really all about you, the community, do see if you can join us, won't you? It's the Sunday after Valentine's day, and it's time once again to feel the love of fellow Apple fans by joining a bunch of them on the TUAW talkcast! Regardless of your political leanings, it was nice to see Tim Cook at the SOTU, and even nicer to hear the shoutout he got from the President for "insourcing" plans for one of Apple's product lines. Tim didn't even have to make a special trip to the east coast; he was already in New York to speak at the Goldman Sachs investor conference. We'll also be discussing the other news of the week, and what have you. Kelly hosting means aftershow, so do try to come by if you can! Since it's really all about you, the community, do see if you can join us, won't you? It's the first Sunday of the new year! Now that holiday chaos is mostly over, it's time to settle back into normal routines, like five day work weeks and Sunday night Talkcasts. This week is the birthday edition, since we have the birthdays of not only our own Dave Caolo, but friend of the show Jeff Gamet too! We've got TUAW's own Best Of series to discuss, as well as the earnings call, not to mention resolutions, CES, and what have you. Kelly hosting means aftershow, and you know you've missed it, so be sure to swing by for all the fun! Since it's really all about you, the community, do see if you can join us, won't you? Another Sunday, another talkcast! Kelly has finally managed to remain stationary in one place long enough to host the show again, so she'll be back tonight to talk about the upcoming MacTech Conference, last week's Mac Computer Expo, as well as some brief Passbook chat. Since it's Kelly, and we've had a yep, a visit to her House of Crackpot Theories is definitely in order. As usual, a Kelly show means aftershow, so be sure to show up for the never recorded post-tech talk which could possibly involve cake, car conversation, or none of those things at all. It's hard to nail down the aftershow. Now it's really all about you, the community, so join me won't you? To participate, you can use the browser-only Talkshoe client, the embedded Facebook app, or download the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for +5 Interactivity, you should call in. 09.26.2012

    It's the last show of Understudy September on TUAW TV, so join Kelly and Doc Rock as they discuss the pile of stuff Apple has been up to lately. There may be some tips and tricks as well, and really, who knows what else since the two of them are liable to end up discussing all manner of things. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. If you're driving somewhere and would like to watch TUAW TV Live while you're stuck in traffic, please don't -- keep your eyes on the road! However, if someone else is doing the driving, you can watch the show on your iPhone and join the chat by downloading the free Ustream App. It's a universal app and is wonderful on an iPad, both for viewing and participating in the chat. We'll start at about 5 PM ET, so if you're seeing a prerecorded show, be sure to refresh your browser until you see the livestream. For those of you who are not able to join us for the live edition, you'll be able to view it later this evening on our TUAW Video YouTube channel and as part of the TUAW TV Live podcast viewable in iTunes or on any of your Apple devices. No Flash? Check out the YouTube channel or podcast listed above or click here. You can also connect to the chat via IRC. The default chat server is chat1.ustream.tv (port 6667), the chat room is #tuaw-tv. You'll need to set up a Ustream account first with a username and password, and then log into IRC with that.

    It's Wednesday, and this week's TUAW TV Live will again feature 100 percent less Steve. For September, since Steve is off adventuring, the duty of entertaining you all this afternoon falls to Kelly and Doc Rock. We'll see how it goes. This week we'll have to see if we can find anything at all to talk about. It's not like Apple released any new hardware or updated iOS or Mountain Lion or anything. We'll start at about 5 PM ET, so if you're seeing a prerecorded show, be sure to refresh your browser until you see the live stream.

    Once again, we come to that time of the week where wee discuss the news of the week that was, and (in this case) anxiously anticipate the week to come. We know there's an event happening Wednesday, so we have all of that speculation to cover, as well as whatever burning topics the chat room has a hankerin for. Tonight we'll be joined by the Managing Editor of The Mac Observer, Jeff Gamet, and iMore chief Rene Ritchie. You never know who else will show up though, so you ought to come by just in case. If you want to influence the conversation, or find out what all this "aftershow" business is all about, you really ought to just drop by. Don't worry, the door to my House (of Crackpot Theories) is only closed because I have the air conditioner on. Believe me, it's a much better show when I'm not talking to myself! To participate, you can use the browser-only Talkshoe client, the embedded Facebook app, or download the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for +5 Interactivity, you should call in. For the web UI, just click the Talkshoe Web button on our profile page at 4 HI/7 PDT/10 pm EDT Sunday. To call in on regular phone or VoIP lines (Viva free weekend minutes!): dial (724) 444-7444 and enter our talkcast ID, 45077 -- during the call, you can request to talk by keying in *8. If you've got a headset or microphone handy on your Mac, you can connect via the free X-Lite or other SIP clients (aside from Skype or Google Voice), basic instructions are here. Talk to you tonight! #next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; } #next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; } #next_pages_container { width: 5px; hight: 5px; position: absolute; top: -100px; left: -100px; z-index: 2147483647 !important; }

    Once again it's Wednesday, which can mean only one thing: TUAW TV Live is...well, it's live! At 5pm Eastern, 2pm Pacific, you can see Kelly G and Doc Rock attempt to cover an hour of Apple news and speculation and, let's be honest, Zod knows what else. They have a tendency to wander. Below, you'll find a Ustream livestream viewer and a chat tool. The chat tool allows you to participate by asking questions or making comments. You'll be watching the show in glorious HD! In addition, the live stream and chat will be available through our Facebook page. Just point your browser here to watch the show and chat with other viewers while you're on Facebook. We'll start at about 5 PM ET, so if you're seeing a prerecorded show, be sure to refresh your browser until you see the live stream. For those of you who are not able to join us for the live edition, you'll be able to view it later this evening on our TUAW Video YouTube channel and as part of the TUAW TV Live podcast viewable in iTunes or on any of your Apple devices.

    It's Sunday again, which can only mean one thing! Well OK, it can mean two things, and the other one is the Talkcast! This week's news includes Appsung Drama, and some of the screen woes with the new rMBPs (making those of us with mere mortal machines feel a bit better about not picking one up), and whatever else comes up in the "preshow". Also tonight, we will be discussing the Mac Computer Expo with this year's organizer, Lorene Romero. Tonight will also mark the return of the Aftershow, previously put off for a variety of reasons. Join us to talk about ... whatever we end up talking about. You never know with the Aftershow. Now it's really all about you, the community, so join me won't you? To participate, you can use the browser-only Talkshoe client, the embedded Facebook app, or download the classic TalkShoe Pro Java client; however, for +5 Interactivity, you should call in. For the web UI, just click the Talkshoe Web button on our profile page at 4 HI/7 PDT/10 pm EDT Sunday.
