Verizon Wireless is now selling an aging MOTOHANDSET in an older wrapper, as the Motorola SLVR L7C has hit the CDMA carrier's website as a good alternative for MOTOFANS looking for an inexpensive and slim Motorola candybar. Many of Verizon's "V-add nomenclature here" features like VCAST Video and others will be offered on the L7c. Along for the ride is a shockingly low-res VGA cam (no upgrade here) and a obligatory microSD card (although none is included in the Verizon package). At least Bluetooth is included, right? The Verizon L7c will be shipping out Verizon's doors for $70 with the standard two-year service agreement, just in time for that special Easter gift.[Thanks, Nik]

We all know that Moto can be a little stingy with the CDMA love (how long did it take for them to release a CDMA RAZR?), but a reliable source just passed along the news that they'll be rolling out a CDMA version of the SLVR sometime this summer. Verizon has first dibs, but there's no word yet on what colors they'll be offering or whether or not their version of the SLVR will sport iTunes-compatibility like the one that's currently available from Cingular (which is pictured above). Then again, it is Verizon we're talking about here, so we'd guess that the iTunes thing probably isn't happening.
