Get your Pathfinder theme and gamer pics
With next month's quiet release of the movie Pathfinder we receive a few free downloads off of the XBLM. Right now you can get a free Pathfinder theme (which isn't anything spectacular) and a picture pack. The picture pack is actually pretty good, featuring a few creature pics and even a skull! Nothing says "I'm hardcore" like a gamer picture featuring a skull. Very l33t indeed. And for our worldly fanboys, we're pretty sure this content is only available to US residents and possibly Canada. Hey, we don't make the rules.
24 Season 6: Free picture pack and theme
It has been a while since we got our greedy hands on some free themes or picture packs from the Marketplace. No worries though, because Major Nelson sent word that there are some free goods today! Just in time for the television series 24 season premiere, head to the Xbox Live Marketplace to download your free 24 Season 6 theme and picture pack. If you love Jack Bauer or just free stuff, then get a downloading right now. Don't you just love the smell of free content on Fridays?
Free picture pack and theme: Alpha Dog
Don't you just love free themes and picture packs? They give you that warm fuzzy feeling, that urge to want to succeed, and those happy shakes. So with that, Major Nelson sends word that Universal Pictures is offering a free picture pack and theme for their upcoming movie Alpha Dog. We understand that these offerings are just more marketing for their little movie, but for those of you who like to use custom backgrounds and hate not being able to match your guide to it, then we have a little trick for you. When you change the background of your dashboard it will keep the last theme's colors/design for the guide. So, if you collect all of these free themes you'll have numerous different guide colors/designs to choose from. Then you can mix and match these colors/designs with your own custom backgrounds and shazaam! A matching (moderately custom) guide for your customized background. Pretty nifty trick huh? We thought of it ourselves.Note: This Alpha Dog theme's guide is original grey, so our little customization idea doesn't really apply ... oh well.
Burger King picture pack is FREE!
If you are a fan of that scary BK King we all know and love from Burger King, then go to the XBLM and download the free Burger King picture pack. It includes a few BK King pictures, the big buckin' chicken, Whopper Jr. and others. And if you're having a little trouble locating the picture pack, (as I did) it's under the Xbox Community section. I think this subliminal advertising is taking effect, I have a weird jonesing for a Whopper and some fries. Don't be greedy, pass the ketchup packets!
