When we first heard about the "animated menus" of the T10, we had our doubts, but after playing around with the youth-oriented PMP, we've decided it gets a thumbs up. The ultralight, ultrathin media player felt practically weightless in our hands, but its screen was bright and crisp, and those frenetic, PaRappa the Rapper-like animations definitely make for an interesting UI -- certainly like no other player on the market right now. Check out the gallery for pictures which will shock and amaze.%Gallery-6649%

Ready for it? We've got the release date for Samsung's tasty new Bluetooth media players with FM tuners: the YP-P2 and YP-T10. September. Ok, it's not so much a date as a range, but mark your calendars anyway and get to saving. How much? Good question, Sammy ain't saying, but you'd best start combing your pockets for the couple of hundie they'll demand. Think about it: the P2 (pictured) brings a proper 16:9 widescreen, 3-inch touchscreen display with up to 8GB of audio/video-hungry flash while the T10 wraps 4GB of your audio and video in a 0.3-inch, super thin dose of sex-ay. Just check the gallery and full specs after the break if you need more convincing.%Gallery-6441%

While we might like iRiver best for its Clix and W10 hawterness, the company hasn't forgotten those poor unfortunate souls who can't afford to drop a few hundies on a PMP device. To that end, iRiver is busting out the T50 player today, which runs on a single AAA battery, boasts 52 hours of playback, sports 1GB of flash memory, and has a teensy 1-inch CSTN LCD. The player is a followup to iRiver's T10, which came out in 2005, and the T50 thankfully does away with a good bit of bulk and frumpiness of that player. Codec support is solid, with MP3 / WMA DRM10 / OGG, and even BMP veiwing for good measure. Of course, iRiver has an FM tuner and voice recorder in here as well. The T50 will be out on April 15th in white and black versions, both retailing for 9,980 yen ($85 US).

iRiver Japan is Reigncom's only region we've seen make the announcement today, but they've got a 2GB version of their lime green T10 due out there for ¥19,980 (about $170 US). Doesn't look too different than the MP3, WMA, OGG, ASF playing, FM tuning, voice recording device we're well used to otherwise, and it's still got that same damned single-cell AAA battery, making it one of the more capacious players to take said cells. Expect these to go on sale the 26th of this month over yonder in the land of the rising sun -- who knows (if and) when, elsewhere.
