The big three console manufacturers aren't the only ones having all the fun at E3; Ubisoft and Electronic Arts are known to get in on the party as well. These two publishers can do many things, but one thing they can't do is take you back in time in the event that you missed their press conferences. Fortunately for you, Joystiq does what reality don't. Ready to travel with us and wrangle up all the news from the Ubisoft and EA pressers? Let's go!

At the E3 2014 Ubisoft Media Briefing, the Tom Clancy game publisher reintroduced gamers to the Rainbow team. Rainbow Six: Siege is coming Xbox One, PS4 and PC in 2015. Revealed at the end of the conference, the in-game demo featured two teams of five battling each other in a hostage-filled home. In the footage, criminals were spotted barricading doors and windows in anticipation of the authorities. Then all hell breaks loose as Team Rainbow makes it way inside. Ubisoft had originally announced Patriots as the next game in the Rainbow Six franchise – a game much darker in tone than previous installments in the series – in 2011. Five months ago, Ubisoft announced it was going back to the drawing board with the Rainbow Six franchise; Siege appears to be the result.

Though Ubisoft creative director Charles Huteau admits that "fitness is boring," Ubisoft has announced Shape Up, an exercise game that promises to "finally" turn your workout into an epic game. During Ubisoft's E3 conference, Huteau demonstrated a cardio workout that took the form of a mano a mano piano shuffle battle. While rapidly stomping virtual keys alongside a Kinect-spawned doppelganger of himself, Huteau seemingly worked up a minor sweat - crucially, without holding an extra peripheral (as in Ubisoft's Just Dance Now). Ubisoft offered no specific release date for Shape Up, but the game is slated to appear on the Xbox One during this November.

Hooded assassins have done an awful lot of dirty work on their own, but that trend will change on October 28, when the co-op supplemented Assassin's Creed: Unity plunges pointy things into Xbox One, PS4 and PC. [Image: Ubisoft]

With Just Dance Now coming to mobile devices, players can use smartphones instead of an arsenal of controllers and Kinects to track their grooves. Just Dance executive producer Jason Altman announced the tiny dancer during Ubisoft's E3 conference, which uses phones to track players and tablets, computers or internet-connected TVs to display routines to as many dancers as you can fit into a room.

Like day follows night and night follows day, Just Dance 2015 will shake its evergreen booty on systems this October - a trailer shown during Ubisoft's E3 conference listed Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Wii U while the official site also lists logos for PS3, PS4 and Wii. There's no Aisha Tyler in it though, and that's always a disappointment. Meanwhile, Just Dance Now promises to give players a mobile way to groove. Update: The game will launch on October 23 in EMEA regions, and then the day after in the UK. The North American release window remains October. Additionally, Ubisoft unveiled some of the 40 tracks coming to the dancing game, which you can check out below the break.

Bonjour, everyone! Ubisoft's E3 2014 press conference is happening at 3:00 p.m. PT (6:00 p.m. ET) today, and we expect plenty of tasty tidbits and news from the French developer/publisher. In fact, we'll be voicing said expectations, as well as analysis and commentary via our liveblog, so feel free to garnish this stream with a dash of Joystiq personality and pop open a tab next to this one. The Los Angeles Staples Convention Center is plastered with a giant Assassin's Creed: Unity poster, but we also expect to hear more about the recently-announced Far Cry 4 too. Ubisoft has featured surprise announcements the past two years as well - Watch Dogs in 2012 and The Division in 2013. Could we have another big surprise this year? If you close your eyes and wish hard enough, Beyond Good & Evil 2 could still happen! Update: Ubisoft's conference may be over, but you can re-live its many announcements in old-fashioned text form.
