  • Well Fed Buff: Brilliant Smallfish

Another classic recipe for young toons in WoW, Brilliant Smallfish is a great way to work on both your fishing skill and your cooking skill. While Brilliant Smallfish is obtainable in just about any low-level body of water in Azeroth (for the convenience of not even having to leave your nearest capital city!), I admit that despite living in a coastal region, I got mine from the supermarket. And it's not actually Brilliant Smallfish, it's lingcod. This is a simple fish dish that is a little spicy and definitely tasty. It requires use of both the stove top and the oven, so it's perfect for those of us who live in parts of the world that are starting to cool off. Southern Hemisphere and warm-climate inhabiting WoW brothers and sisters, my apologies.

  • Blood Pact: Enhancing your evil gear at 90

Every week, WoW Insider brings you Blood Pact for affliction, demonology, and destruction warlocks. This week, Megan O'Neill is pand-a-ren, every day. All the dailies. All of them. Especially the Golden Lotus ones. What enchants will help me hit hit cap? What will help me reach that haste breakpoint? How can I get more mastery? Should I gem for the socket bonus? What professions are best for warlocks? OK, I might be lazy or otherwise occupied with all the Lorewalkers scrolls to figure out which professions are best before the Elitist Jerks do. But I've put it off long enough and raiding won't wait: it's the consumables, enchants, and profession perks post.

  • Potion tips for the uninitiated

Tanking Tips has a good (you guessed it) tip for potting up before a raid. They say that you can't use two potions in combat -- or can you? Any potion that relies on a proc to get used up (like an Indestructible Potion) can be downed early, then let the two minute cooldown on potions pass, and then you can drink another potion during the fight. Good deal. You could say that only the highest level raiders are going to be that worried about making sure that they have every single buff they can have, but even as a casual raider, I've found a lot of use in buffing as many ways as possible. Unlike the really epic guys (who use food, potions, and elixirs to beef up their already awesome gear), I tend to use potions and food to cover my weaknesses. For instance, I don't have as much +hit on my gear as I should have, so I specifically carry around hit food at all times, and I can see the results in my DPS. Even if you don't have the best gear, using the right potions and food buffs at the right times can help you drop bosses and win fights you normally wouldn't.Of course, that seems obvious to min-maxers, but many raiders with less experience don't realize how much of a difference the right pots and food can make on the raiding game. Lots of these buffs are cheap to buy (and even cheaper to farm if you've got the professions), so if you're raiding with regularity, definitely take a look at your stats and see if you can't throw a few temp buffs in the mix.

  • Well Fed Buff: Cherry Grog

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. We're crispy. That's not an indictment of our cooking skill – no-no, Well Fed Buff writers definitely have the (Dirge's Kickin' Chimaerok) chops to pull off some tasty stat boosts. No, the problem here is the beautiful springtime weather. After months of gaming indoors, it's almost inevitable that WoW players will at some point surrender to the siren call of the sunshine – ending up pink (if not actually crispy), sweaty and ready to ... well, to chill out. Since springtime also gets us feeling just a wee bit silly, we thought it only appropriate to chill out with an icy-cold WoW-themed Cherry Grog. Yeah, we know that grog is traditionally made with boiling water – but we're going to offer you ideas for both hot and cold versions. And before the comments get besieged: If you're below level 21 or are acting as the Designated Raid Driver, You do not meet the level requirements for this item. Get some levels, guys, and come back when you're attuned.

Well Fed Buff serves up tasty dishes to boost your HP, stats and appetite – with that special WoW twist, of course. Spring is in the air and it's time to start thinking about grilling. For this week's Well Fed Buff, we get to enjoy Charred Bear Kabobs. In World of Warcraft, these tasty delights restore 1933 health over 27 seconds. Charred Bear Kabobs require level forty-five, and if you spend at least 10 seconds eating you will become well fed and gain 24 attack power for 15 min. The recipe can be purchased from Malygen in Felwood. Real life kabobs are a tasty way to express your creativity. Sadly, I was unable to find any Bear Flanks in Las Vegas on short notice. I had to opt for pork loin. It seemed a reasonable substitute. Kabobs are a relatively simple way for fantastic Sunday afternoon bar-b-que dishes, and well worth the effort for a weeknight meal. Impress your friends with fantastic treats that pair perfectly with your World of Warcraft adventures. Have fun whipping up some or our delicious snacks, meals, and beverages.
