The gadget boutique trend continues, and Leica is latest to jump in for the retail romp, opening a store within a store in West Palm Beach, Florida. That outlet will be inside the Pro Shop for Photographers, which is itself inside the new Palm Beach Photographic Centre, a 26,000 square foot facility for teaching photography, hosting exhibits, and surely cooing over some of the company's sexier special editions. It's a non-profit facility, but we're guessing Leica is hoping its little corner of it will generate a little revenue when it opens in mid-October. Fun fact: despite having all that space, the Photographic Centre doesn't have a single dark room, leaving old-school film photographers with no place to go but the closet. [Via ubergizmo]

  • AT&T Total Home DVR rollout reaches final ten markets, it's really over

Got U-Verse? Then you should have the Total Home DVR record on one box / stream to all functionality now that AT&T's rollout has finished ahead of schedule. Up in all 69 markets where the IPTV service has a foothold, the final ten markets launched today were: Bakersfield, Dayton, Green Bay, Jacksonville, Little Rock, Miami, South Bend, Tulsa, West Palm Beach and Wichita. Honestly, we're not sure what AT&T (or us for that matter) will do now that it's over, the leading candidates are a "Remember the Rollout" reunion tour in early '09, or the somewhat less likely possibility that confused AT&T techs start adding the functionality to random areas without U-Verse service.

Shortly after the AMC-14 launch went awry, we received confirmation that DISH Network's Spring HD rollout was still on track. Apparently things are going better than expected, as the satellite provider is getting official with HD locals in four new markets today. As we'd heard already, both Orlando and West Palm Beach, Florida have already been admitted into the HD locals club, while Austin, Texas and Flint, Michigan are joining days ahead of the scheduled April rollout. Best of all, DISH affirms that we'll be seeing lots more where this came from over the course of 2008, so if you're market hasn't been touched just yet, hang tight.

Scoot over, Orlando -- it seems your 15 minutes are up. According to an internal memo, West Palm Beach, Florida residents that are subscribed to DISH Network should receive a trio of HD locals today. As of March 27th, customers in the region will find ABC (WPFB channel 25) on slot 5180, FOX (WFLX channel 29) on slot 5183 and NBC (WPTV channel 5) on slot 5182. Regrettably, CBS is singled out here as the lone channel from the Big 4 not included just yet, but we're keeping our fingers crossed that it shows up before March Madness is completely over.[Thanks, HDjunkee]
