Aion's third and final new class has been revealed, sort of. MMO Culture reports on a lengthy Korean press release focused on the title's upcoming 4.0 patch during which NCsoft teased a couple of images that show a Daeva encased in some sort of fearsome mech suit. The site says "it is almost certain that these machines can switch between cannon-ranged mode and a lance-melee mode." The class's English name is not yet known, but the Korean translates as Armored Castle. You can view the hour-plus press conference via the video after the break, but be warned that it's in Korean and lacks subtitles. Aion's 4.0 patch is scheduled for December 20th in Korea. There is no word yet on a European or American launch date.

What do dancing penguins, bubbly pop music, and pink-clad spellcasters with treble clef harp weapons have in common? They're all part of a new Aion Bard preview video, of course. The Bard is one of three new classes coming in the fantasy title's 4.0 update, and the one-minute clip after the cut is our first opportunity to get a glimpse of the archetype in action. And don't worry, it's not as wince-inducingly cute as it sounds, given that the Bard has plenty of nifty spell effects to go along with her combat and crowd-control abilities. There's badassery, and then there's the newly revealed class concept for Aion's forthcoming 4.0 update. You might recall that NCsoft teased three new archetypes via a trio of silhouette images a few weeks ago. Now MMO Culture has published a couple of concept drawings showing off one of the classes, a black-clad gunslinger complete with a fedora, a duster, and a pair of pistols. The images are taken from a Korean dev blog and as is typical with Aion, the updates will go live on the game's Korean servers first before slowly making their way west. If this new Gunner class (loosely translated as Shooting Star from the dev blog) is any indication, though, the updates will be well worth the wait. Head past the break for the images, then click through to the source for further details.
