Usually, we put out these April Fools' Day PSAs to inform you when a partially realistic story is actually bunko -- but you could probably guess this one's a total joke. PopCap recently distributed a press release announcing Celebrity Bejeweled, a new iteration of its lucrative puzzle franchise where the standard multicolored gemstones are replaced by "holographic likenesses of gem-named superstars," including Neil Diamond, Jewel and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Sadly, prolific disco bassist Topaz Wilson didn't make the cut -- largely because we just made him up. The $2,000 collector's edition of the non-game also comes with DNA samples from the featured celebrities, which can be used for "home chemistry experiments, various forms of extortion and/or sale on eBay." Thanks, PopCap, but we've already got like, four or five vials of Neil Diamond sweat around the house. We're all good, in that respect.

  • April Fools: Old Republic's final, final class revealed: Sarlacc Enforcer

We can see why BioWare and LucasArts decided to post about The Old Republic's "Sarlacc Enforcer" class in a joking manner, rather than actually including it in the game. Can you imagine the balancing issues which would surface when dealing with an archetype which can't move, but can instantly devour nearby players? That's a veritable PvP nightmare. Check out the game's official site for the full dossier on the sand-mouth's weapons, abilities and planet-destroying psychic lasers. Really, how's a mere Bounty Hunter or Smuggler supposed to stand up against that?

It's April Fool's day, and that means there's all manner of craziness going on across the MMO landscape. From bogus upcoming features and races being touted, to crazy in-game shenanigans, our team is out hunting it all down to document for posterity in an upcoming April Fool's Day roundup posting. That said, today Alex was early on the ball this morning and sent us a screenshot of the craziness going on in Guild Wars. Not a regular Guild Wars player who can spot just what's wrong with this picture? Have no fear -- Alex also sent in a note to explain! "This is my character Necromas Darklight having a little fun with the April Fool's event. They made it so that when in towns and outposts, all the player models were scaled down to minipet sizes and all the minipet models were scaled up to regular sizes. I know it doesn't sound like much but it's gotten everyone running around and meeting up for little parades and celebrations and even thrown the minipet trading market into a frenzy. For this shot I just decided to keep it simple and show off my 'miniature' lich. Sometimes it's just little things like this that go a long way to keeping me interested in the game and having fun." If you notice something odd in your favorite MMO today, feel free to send in a screenshot to us here at oneshots AT massively DOT com too. If we get enough, we might run them in a special April Fool's gallery showing off all the different things that went on today! If not -- we'll probably just show them off over the next few days for those who missed out on the events. Be sure to add in your name, the name of the game, and a description of the shenanigans too. Either way, we'd love to have your tales of tomfoolery! %Gallery-85937%

If there's anything we know for sure about halfings, it's their love of devious tricks. The Norrathian god Bristlebane is no exception, being the deity of pranks, foolishness, and lighthearted deception. So when April Fools Day comes around and Bristlebane's power is at its yearly peak, expect all of Norrath to fall for his hysterical tricks! This year's Bristlebane Day is going to be filled with festivities, pranks, and even a few new items for you to add to your inventory! While the yearly mainstay quests have returned (like Ratical, The Impossibly Rare Objects, and Gigglegibber Scavenger Hunt) a new quest has appeared in the Enchanted Lands! This quest will only be available on April 1st, in addition to some "other" festivities that will appear in the zone on that day as well. Play your cards right, and you might just be the owner of The World's Worst Colored Armor Set (TM)! Exciting? We think so.
