Bandsintown Plus offers exclusive concert streams for $10 per month
Many artists make the bulk of their income from performing live concerts around the world. One potential solution could be Bandsintown Plus, a new subscription service dedicated to live music. Bandsintown helps musicians make money with Twitch concerts
Bandsintown wants to help musicians pull in money during the COVID-19 pandemic in addition to promoting their shows. The discovery service is giving artists free, "fast-tracked" access to Twitch's monetization systems to help them generate money from livestreamed concerts. If all goes well, they'll quickly get affiliate status on Twitch and thus make money from subscriptions and bit donations. Performers will need to have 2,000 or more Bandsintown followers and a link to their Twitch channel in their Bandsintown profile. After filling out a form, they should get affiliate status in two to five business days.
Bandsintown will help artists promote livestreams
As musicians cancel concerts due to the coronavirus, bands like the Dropkick Murphys are turning to livestreams as a way to connect with fans and potentially recoup some of the money they're losing. Today, the concert-discovery app Bandsintown announced a new Watch Live feature that will let artists send push notifications when they livestream shows. Bandsintown is also launching its own Twitch channel.
Snapchat lets third-party apps use its AR camera, Bitmoji and more
Snap is bringing the walls of its closed gardens tumbling down, as it's opened up a rumored developer platform to let third-party creators use Snapchat features in other apps, and bring their own tools to Snapchat. Off the bat, that means you'll start to see Bitmoji in Tinder, and dynamic Postmates stickers that tell you when your order should arrive. Other apps that will use Snapchat features at the outset include Poshmark, Quip, Eventbrite, Giphy, Pandora, Bands in Town, Patreon and SoundHound, The Verge reports.
Bandsintown integrates Apple Music for in-app streaming
If you're like me, looking at your local concert listings is usually accompanied by blasting the music of the bands you encounter along the way. That task typically requires multiple apps, but live music discovery company Bandsintown now offers Apple Music subscribers the ability to stream tunes directly inside of its mobile software. When you visit an artist's tour dates page, you'll see a play button up top. Tap it and a selection of songs will begin. You can also tap an EQ icon in the bottom right corner of the app to browse other tracks.
Bandsintown opens its music event listings to venues and festivals
Bandsintown is helpful if you want to find out when your favorite group is playing nearby, but it's not as authoritative as you might like when the venues themselves have had to resort to targeted campaigns to get the word out. Thankfully, it's about to get much better. The live music discovery service has announced that venues and festivals can set up their official pages, including an option for them to add and modify events. They won't have to wait to announce a new gig or make a last-minute change. And crucially, you could discover gigs you weren't aware of just by visiting the venue page.
Bandsintown concert-discovery app amps up the artist interaction

If you want a dedicated concert-discovery app with an artist-centric big new update, you might want to give Bandsintown a try.
