It's official: Europe is getting the coolest version of Far Cry 3, replete with the amazing bobblehead seen in the trailer above. Is that star of stage and screen Michael Mando with a goatee and hula skirt? Sure is!Beyond the facsimile of Mando, buyers of the so-called "Insane Edition" get "exclusive survival kit packaging" (a cloth book), an "essential island survival guide," and "access to all unlockable content" (which includes the in-game content that pre-orders get in the US). Considering the "Insane Edition" is just £15 more than the standard "Lost Expeditions Edition" at £49.85 (at least in the UK – we're waiting on EU pricing), we're thinking it's worth the dough. Perhaps you haven't looked hard enough at that bobblehead? Really explore that space.

  • Daily iPhone (and iPad) App: Bobbleshop lets you create and share bobbleheads of your friends

Who doesn't love a good bobblehead? They're often whimsical, sometimes silly and occasionally realistic enough to be creepy. If you've always wanted to create your own, but lack the materials to do so, then you should check out Bobbleshop. It's a bobblehead-creating app that'll keep you busy for hours and leave you in stitches. The app launches with a basic bobble that you can name and modify. You can change the head, the hair, the eyes, the nose and more. There are clothes and accessories like glasses and necklaces. My favorite was the iPad. My bobble looked great holding it. Almost everything on the bobble can be tweaked to your liking. If you have enough time, you can create a bobble that closely resembles your friends and family. And you don't have to work on one at a time, you can create and store an entire collection. When you're done creating your bobble, you can share it with other people via email. If they own Bobbleshop, they can import the bobble's "DNA" and play with it on their device. You can also tweet your bobble or post it to the gallery on Bobbleshop's website. If you enjoy bobbleheads or just like being silly, then Bobbleshop is worth a download. It's a bit pricey at US$2.99, but the app has a lot of customizations. There are dozens of hair pieces, a dozen different glasses, several eyes and more. Once you start digging into the app, you'll understand why Bobbleshop's not a free app. I tested Bobbleshop on the iPhone, but prefer the iPad version because it's easier to manipulate the pieces on the larger screen. Bobbleshop is a universal app that'll work on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (4th generation), iPad 2/3 Wi-Fi, and iPad 2/3 Wi-Fi + 3G. It requires iOS 5.0 or later.

There's one feature that's been severely underutilized in this generation of gaming: big-head mode. Thankfully, 2K Sports is getting it on like Donkey Kong™. MLB Bobblehead Pros, as described by the ESRB, is a "baseball simulation game in which players compete using 'bobblehead doll' versions of real major league players." With big-headed baseball players running around, we fathom the game will look a lot like Japan's Jikkyo Powerful Pro Yakyu franchise. The ratings listing pegs Bobblehead Pros for release on PS3 and Xbox 360, which has us thinking thinking this may be a downloadable PSN/XBLA title. Surely, we'll find out more before the beginning of the baseball season later this year.

If you like Destroy All Humans games but aren't sure if you want the latest incarnation of the series, THQ would like to bribe you with a trinket. Alternately, if you're so into the Big Boy character that you'll buy figurines of characters parodying the mascot, THQ has one they would like to sell to you. It comes with a video game. In the game, Big Willy is a walking mech in the camouflage of a friendly fast-food mascot. In real life, it's a bobblehead that you can only get at GameStop. Is it also a cleverly-disguised weapon? We can't really tell from the picture! %Gallery-15613%

Just as we were talking about the difficulty of scoring Nintendo merchandise, this auction pops up on eBay. With bobblehead figurines of Luigi, Mario, Bowser and Yoshi, we find ourselves wishing we had quicker reflexes, as the auction has already closed. All figurines ended up going to one lucky individual who chose the option to buy it now for the fair price of 39.99 GBP.If you know of any cool eBay auctions, be sure to send us a tip![Via GameSniped]
