  • Bunnies can't play with a DS Lite

While we can't say much about the quality of Rayman Raving Rabbids DS yet, we're more than happy to sing the praises of Ubisoft's marketing behind the recently-released platformer. The France-based company sent out three promotional images showing the game's villains, crazed and deranged rabbits, in various states of distress. They're not as cute as kittens playing with a Nintendo DS Lite, but not much else is. Head past the break for more artwork of the disaster-prone bunnies.

  • Nabaztag/tag users up in arms about spotty service, missing features

While we typically question the sanity of anyone who would pay $200+ for a talking rabbit (not really, we're just jealous), it looks like Nabaztag/tag fanboys/girls have a reason to be upset. Out of the box, many buyers of the cute little bunny found that they had just purchased a cute little paperweight, since Violet's API was down for days at a time. Now that those server problems have been fixed and the Nabaztag/tag can actually receive info from the service, buyers are finding that Violet expects an extra fee for some services, and completely failed to include other features in the box, such as RFID tags compatible with the bunny. Other features are hopelessly bad in their execution, such as instances of asking tag/tag for the weather, and receiving a response three minutes later. Hardly the virtual pet nirvana most users were hoping for. Violet has indicated that it has heard the complaints of its customers, but still hasn't issued a formal response to address the issues. We'll keep an eye out for such a word, and until that day we'll put our hope in Violet-alternatives such as OpenNab, which promise to help "Unleash Your Inner Bunny" without all the hassle of tangling with the company that gave it birth.[Thanks, Mark B]

We may not be diehard Xbox fans, but that doesn't mean we can't appreciate it when they start dressing up like bunnies. A reader was kind enough to tip us off on this great competition on a German Xbox fansite that ended up with a couple of folks looking like extras from Rayman Raving Rabbids. We can totally get behind anything that produces pictures like these, especially when the Wiimote makes a cameo.[Thanks, Phillipp!]

  • Panasonic: neuter your bunny

It seems Panasonic has taken a page from the Bob Barker school of marketing, promoting their new Oxyride batteries by asking people to neuter their pet bunnies. Seriously. Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. You see, "many people are unaware of the benefits of Panasonic Oxyride batteries, just like many bunny owners are unaware of the benefits of neutering or spaying." Now, this obviously couldn't have anything to do with a certain unnamed furry mascot from another, more popular battery company, could it? Of course not. Clearly Panasonic is simply concerned with controlling the bunny pet population  -- and for that, they should be commended. They keep reproducing, and reproducing, and reproducing...

  • Shouldn't they be called Noblegarden Bunnies?

Well, the latest holiday event from Blizzard proved to be considerably less...eventful than the rest. In fact, aside from a few scattered eggs about Ellwyn Forest, I didn't even really notice an even going on at all. Then again, I wasn't lucky enough to find one of these little guys...a real live Easter Bunny! Ok, it's not real or live, but it's still pretty cool. But still, my question stands...why aren't they called Noblegarden Bunnies?
