Preorders for Warlords of Draenor are now live, as well as the level 90 boost feature. And for those that pre-purchase the Digital Deluxe version of the expansion, you'll have your Dread Raven mount and Dread Hatchling pet waiting for you in your inbox. The mount is a flying, armored and far more ornate version of the Raven Lord mount from Sethekk Halls, and the pet is a baby version of the two. If the hatchling weren't adorable enough on its own, try summoning your Dread Raven while the hatchling is out and you'll see just how much the little guy adores its horrific armored death machine of a momma. And there's an Easter Egg for those with the Raven Lord mount -- summoning the Raven Lord will also warrant a happy reaction from the little guy. But just because he's adorable doesn't mean the hatchling doesn't pack a punch in Pet Battles -- check out Warcraft Pets for more information on the hatchling and its attacks, and take a look at the gallery below for more screenshots of both pet and mount in action. Update: Heads up for pet collectors -- the Dread Hatchling can be caged and sold on the Auction House, or traded to other players.

The latest beta build for Mists of Pandaria has uncovered the name of the potential Collector's Edition pet and possible mount as well. The enterprising folks over at Wowhead dug up the latest info from the build, including a change to the placeholder MoP CE pet and MoP CE mount spells. The pet has been updated to a Lucky Quilen Cub, and the mount has been updated to an Imperial Quilen, which changes depending on your riding skill. Please note, these are still labeled as placeholders, so they may not be in the final product. Although we haven't seen any potential models for either of these creatures, the quilen are the lion-like companions of the mogu, one of the villainous races of the new expansion. You can see what the quilen look like in the screencap above. As with just about every new creature I run into in Pandaria, I pretty much wanted to throw a saddle on this thing from the first moment I laid eyes on it, so needless to say, I'm happy with the choice. I didn't really need any more convincing to get the Collector's Edition of Mists of Pandaria. Frankly, the soundtrack pieces I've heard plus the potential of a new art book were more than enough to snag my interest. But the possibility of both a pet and a mount have sealed the deal, so to speak. Edit: Wowhead has now updated their post with a 3D rendition of the model for the mount. Please note, there are no textures for the mount as of yet, but you can get an idea of how the armor sits on it, anyway! It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion. Jump into five new levels with new talents and class mechanics, try the new monk class, and create a pandaren character to ally with either Horde or Alliance. • Datamining hints at Mists of Pandaria Collector's edition mount

A new round of datamining has uncovered an interesting string and spell in the new code pushed with recent updates to the beta -- specifically, a reference to a placeholder for a Mists of Pandaria collector's edition mount. Here's the string/spell change, courtesy of MMO-Champion: [PH] MoP CE Mount - [PH] Summons and dismisses a ???. This mount changes depending on your Riding skill and location. Traditionally, collector's editions of World of Warcraft expansions included a pet, usually a whelp that resembles a key figure or theme of the expansion. The original collector's edition of WoW included three pets, the Zergling, the panda cub, and the mini Diablo. No collector's edition has ever shipped with a mount before. Here's the kicker: There is also a string and spell in the new build for a collector's edition pet as well, which means more stuff packed in to this next release's premium package. Does upping the ante on cool in-game stuff, from pets to mounts, put the collector's edition of Mists of Pandaria closer to your shelf? As a consummate purchaser of Blizzard collector's editions, I will be shelling out the cash notwithstanding. However, it would be nice to see a bevy of new rewards in the collector's editions other than just the whelps. They will, however, be excellent editions to my Pet Battle Army. What do you think the collector's edition mount could be? It's open warfare between Alliance and Horde in Mists of Pandaria, World of Warcraft's next expansion.
