Creat Studios continues its growing library of PSN games. The studio behind Cuboid, Magic Ball and the upcoming Smash Cars, is planning on releasing two more games on the PlayStation Network this summer. Digger is a true HD remake of the classic 80s PC game. Players must navigate an underground maze, digging horizontally and vertically to create a path, collecting power-ups, jewels and coins whilst avoiding monsters. The game will be available in both remade and classic modes.Mushroom Wars is an arcade-inspired RTS. The visuals have a PixelJunk look to it, albeit a bit more sinister. Players can play through Skirmish and Campaign mode with four difficulty levels. Custom music support, VoIP and YouTube recording support will all be included.%Gallery-64650%%Gallery-64654%

Creat Studios is quickly making a name for itself on the PlayStation Network. Its PSN-exclusive titles, Magic Ball, Cuboid and Mahjong Tales have all been well received by gamers and critics alike. Speaking to Casualgaming.biz, Mikhail Glazyrin, executive producer at Creat, spoke about working with PS3 and PSN and the company's plans for the future."PS3 is a tremendous platform from which to work," Glazyrin states. As evidenced by the wonderfully diverse catalog of games on the PSN, Glazyrin revels in the freedom PSN gives developers. "The PSN platform has very few limitations, and it compares favorably to its rivals." Sony's support of Creat has been "great" according to Glazyrin, and the ability to access tools like Havok for free makes it possible to "implement real physics – even in games with a moderate budget."While Creat is finding success on PSN, the developer is looking towards the future with at least two more PSN games. PS3 isn't the only platform Creat plans on working with, however. The company is already working on games for Xbox Live Arcade and WiiWare.

A long time ago (think about a year ago), independent developer Creat Studios announced it was working on a number of PlayStation Network games. We haven't heard much from then since, but it looks like they're working on at least three different PSN games. German USK rating board added three new games, all from Creat: Cuboid Magic Ball Mahjong Tales: Ancient Wisdom Yeah, we're not jumping out of our seats on the prospects of a new Mahjong game. Regardless, it's nice to see the PSN continue to diversify its library.[Via GamerBytes]

Insecticide never seemed like a title destined to set the sales charts on fire, so we're not surprised to see retailers already marking down the noir title. Less than two months after Insecticide's release, Amazon, GameStop, and other shops have chopped the half-adventure, half-platforming game down to $19.99, a two-thirds its original price. And if that's still too much for you, you could buy Nirvana's Incesticide for only $7.97, less than half of Insecticide's price. What's the difference between the two, you ask? Well, it just so happens that we've put together a lovely comparison guide that should help you with that question.[VIa CAG]

  • Aqua Teen devs to develop, publish PlayStation Network games

Fresh off of Midway's laboriously titled and unanimously panned Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am for the PlayStation 2, who can blame Creat Studios from wanting to try something different? The studio, which operates out of both Massachusetts and Russia, has announced a new deal with Sony that will allow it to develop and publish both its own and other company's games over the PlayStation Network. While no specific titles have been announced so far, we're hedging our bets that N-Cube and Warbit, two mysterious titles from Creat that appeared on last September's DualShock 3 compatibility list, are among them. Just back away from those Adult Swim licenses and we'll all stay friends.
