After a rough day, Moo Like Tauren was exactly what the doctor ordered. I've not been so enthusiastic about a parody video since Ninja Raiders. I don't know if it's the incredible vocals by DarkPippi and EmberIsolte, or the pitch perfect animation by Khayllys, but this video is just incredibly awesome. If you watch only one machinima video this month, make it Moo Like Tauren. It's worth it. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: Pandaria

It's been a while since we've seen a new music parody from songstress Ember Isolte, so I was happy to see the announcement of a new video last night on Twitter. Pandaria, a parody of Rihanna's Disturbia, was done from beginning to end by Ember Isolte, including the song, lyrics, and the machinima as well. And just like her other parodies, (the infamous Ninja Raiders comes to mind immediately) this one is likely to be stuck in my head for the next week or two at the very least. I think my personal measure of quality with a song parody is how well the parody suits the original material. I came out of this one wondering why nobody had thought to make this parody before, because it's just so natural -- to me, that's the mark of a good parody. Ember Isolte is, as usual, a quality vocalist. And the video itself is very well done, highlighting all the important lyrics in the video, showing off some of Pandaria's gorgeous scenery, and featuring a bunch of fuzzy pandas. What's not to like? • WoW Moviewatch: Dead and Loving It

Dead and Loving It has been around for a little while, but it's such a fun video that I'm re-featuring it a little early. With a talent triumvirate of Greyfoo, EmberIsolte, and Bullworth, this song and story possesses a lot to recommend it. My favorite aspect of Dead and Loving It is its frame story. You start off with a human noob making a few jokes at an undead. That's the story that sets up the music video portion. Sure, it's a fairly classic technique, but it's a level of thought and premeditation you don't often see in modern machinima. I appreciate the extra touch. Interested in the wide world of machinima? • WoW Moviewatch: The Day After the Cataclysm Ended

With more people killing Deathwing every single day, an inevitable and troubling question keeps coming up: "What will happen to the dragons now?" They gave up their immortality so that we can begin the Time of Man, and we didn't see any white-sailed ships floating to the horizon to explain their scaly fate. So what happened? Ineffable genius Myndflame tackled that question, grabbing vocal talent Ember Isolte to take the part of the Lifebinder. You can't miss Myndflame's knack for comedic timing and genius reversal of expectations. Finally, we know what happened The Day After The Cataclysm Ended. Interested in the wide world of machinima? It's been a little while since we've kicked back with good friends EmberIsolte and the GreyFoo. I think it's time to remember one of the most beautiful, chill, and melancholy movies to grace this column: Sentinel Hill. Think I'm waxing poetic? Maybe a touch. But Sentinel Hill is such a bittersweet movie that it's stuck with me more than a year later. I originally took the song to be a lot sadder than the creators had intended; they were aiming for something hopeful. Of course, to have hope, you have to be in a bad place, so I'm sticking to my gosh-darn melancholy guns. Really, this is just a beautiful piece. Take the time to check it out. • The Classifieds: A vacation package

If you remember Jeff Reitman from his performance at the WoW Insider BlizzCon 2010 reader meetup, then you get another chance to enjoy his comedy with his newly released video, Cataclysm Tour Guide. It's a brief video highlighting the exciting vacation packages made available with the passage of Deathwing over Azeroth's shores. In case you're in the mood for something a little more musical, then EmberIsolte has released a new song. This is an English translation of Lament of the Highborne. EmberIsolte really gets to show off her vocal chops here, although I'll admit I prefer the in-game language for the song.

Do you like dancing space goats? I hope so, because we here at WoW.com love us some dancing space goats, especially if it's to some smooth, groovy disco. The great news for us, then, is that EmberIsolte and TheGreyFoo have teamed up to bring us Exodar Disco. In this epic masterpiece of space goat disco, you get to hear the Prophet Velen spell out his vision for defeating the forces of evil. If you weren't expecting that plan to include sequins and tab lapels, then you were sorely mistaken. I hope this video will usher in a new age of combat for WoW. An age of groovy, funkadelic beats. An age where we get to watch the Draenei show the other, lesser races what it means to feel disco in your soul. Seriously, though, this video was a darn lot of fun. TheGreyFoo and EmberIsolte are always a lot of fun, and I look forward to their stuff. This video is just amazing, though, and far exceeds any expectations I could have had. The choice to actually involve Velen in singing was superb, and I can't applaud them enough. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: AttentionWhore

Work Warning: Lots of scantily dressed WoW character models here. If you're in a workplace where a Draenei in her skimpies might be looked askance at, check it out at home instead. AttentionWhore is the new machinima by RavenSylphe to feature EmberIsolte's song by the same name. This is the second video created this way, since RavenSylphe has given similar treatment to Shut Up and Grind. The song was written and performed by EmberIsolte while the graphics are all the work of RavenSylphe, of course. This video certainly has a lot of eye candy. RavenSylphe did an amazing job with the video, and it couples very well with EmberIsolte's tunes. AttentionWhore is a welcome departure from belf rap in music videos, since it seems most musical acts tend to prefer the Horde. I will say that the lyrics were kind of tough to make out, though, which was somewhat a distraction from my overall enjoyment of the piece. Still, EmberIsolte and RavenSylphe are a whole lot of fun, and I love seeing new stuff from them. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! EmberIsolte and RavenSylpheG are certainly a winning combination. They've released an updated version of Shut Up and Grind. EmberIsolte's first version of this song came around in the summer, and it looks like RavenSylpheG has busted out a new video for the piece. She says it took her a while, so she may very well have been working on the video since the song's original release. EmberIsolte nails the vocals wonderfully, which has more or less become what we expect from her. RavenSylpheG continues to do an amazing job with the machinima, creating a very distinctive, pleasing music video for the song. I think these two come together incredibly well in their work, and the styles match up perfectly. The video itself has the right kind of pop-fun feel to compliment Shut Up and Grind's irreverent lyrics. The song itself isn't quite as catchy as Ninja Raiders, but then again, what is? It's an enjoyable song with a wonderful video. Great job! Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: Altaholic

EmberIsolte's last movie, Ninja Raiders, was certainly a hit. She's now following up with Altaholic, which is a parody of Katy Perry's Hot 'n Cold. The video and lyrics were created by Gack and Eidni, while EmberIsolte performed the vocals. The video for this song is pretty fun, with a heavy mix of machinima techniques and gameplay footage. The lyrics for this piece do a great job fitting the music, without any of the "forced" feeling which many parodies suffer. The vocals sounded a little funny to me, but that sometimes happen when checking out a movie through YouTube. However, EmberIsolte does a pretty good job of nailing Perry's voice technique from the original song. It's nice to see Draenei surfacing as strong machinima characters. While that's not a direct commentary on movies like this, I think the choice of main character helps separate Altaholic from many of the other WoW parody pieces. Getting some variety in machinima is always a bonus. Interested in the wide world of machinima? We have new movies every weekday here on WoW Moviewatch! • WoW Moviewatch: Ninja Raiders [Update]

Like the Craft of War: BLIND back in its own day, Ninja Raiders has been recommended to Moviewatch every few days. Since it's one of the rare music videos that genuinely make me laugh, I figured I'd give it a second spotlight. The video's innate charm and clever lyrics continue to please audiences, and I want to make sure everyone gets a chance to see it. One of the fresh, fun things about this video is the obvious skill displayed by Ember Isolte in her vocal performance. She sounds very much like Beyonce Knowles, but still gives the song an interesting "Draenei sound." Both the graphics and the lyrics gently poke fun at its subject without feeling mean spirited or cruel. That's a pretty rare balance, and Ember Isolte and Raven Sylphe should both be proud of their work. Update: Ember has contacted us to let us know that the mastermind behind the project is Ryan Myers. Ryan wrote the lyrics and even did a machnima of it quite a while ago. You can check out the original video of it; it certainly has all the makings of the current incantation that has sparked a lot of interest in the WoW community. It's great to see talented artists like Ryan, Ember, and Raven work together to create what ends up to be an amazing product. Kudos to them all! Interested in the wide world of machinima?
