Like the last batch of Evites that asked you to invite friends to the Wii party, these newest Evites also allow you to ask friends and family over for a party. This time, though, the focus is on birthdays, allowing thoughtful parents who might be giving their child (or children) a Wii for their birthday to invite friends and family to enjoy the new gift. Or, maybe a family is doing away with the tired cliche of clowns, cowboys or pretty, pretty princesses for a time that can only be described as "more fun than a barrel full of monkeys drunk on laughing gas."

With the ultimate party accessory releasing soon, Nintendo knew that this would be the perfect time to encourage the party dynamic of the Wii. So, they came up with this whole Wii Party Evite thing. Personally, it's something we can get behind. And Nintendo's own Perrin Kaplan lets us know that Nintendo has been watching us all along (maybe from a tree ... with binoculars). See, they've been following the whole party trend of the Wii and feel it should be encouraged. Without a robust online catalog of games that allow players to connect and play with other gamers around the world, Nintendo wants you to get your friends and family over to your house to enjoy the console as a group. Sure, it means you have to shower, but you should probably be doing that anyway.

Instead of going out to the local sin parlor and imbibing tumbler after tumbler of sin-juice with strangers of the opposite sex, invite your friends and family over to your small studio apartment to play video games! Sure, it's not for everyone, but we're big fans of Wii parties (why do you think Nyko made this frankenstein?).To help in your efforts to infect the cooler, more socially sophisticated demographics, Nintendo has teamed up with the folks at Evite to promote Wii parties (and planning for them!). GameDaily briefly spoke with Nintendo's Perrin Kaplan who said, "We wanted to contribute to the trend by helping it to grow organically by working with Evite to suggest topics and designs." First on that list are: Mario Party, Family Reunion, and Wii Sports. Other potential party ideas: Minigame Overdose Party and Space Pirate Killing Party.Read – Wii Party Ideas from EviteRead – Perrin Kaplan on Wii Party Evites (GameDaily)
