It looks like Super Fossil Fighters may have been a working title: The latest trailer to be unearthed for Nintendo's archeological RPG (above) refers to the game as Fossil Fighters: Champions. Beyond that, however, it seems that the portable pseudo-Pokemon experience has been left unaltered, and that the series' unique brand of paleontology and necromancy will continue as planned. Fossil Fighters: Champions will bring dangerous, decomposed dinos to Nintendo's DS on November 14.

Though Nintendo didn't do its traditional "Here are a bunch of logos of games we're making," it couldn't resist a little info dump at the end of the company's press conference. Shown on a screen as attendees exited were logos for [deep breath] The Rolling Western, Paper Mario, Super Fossil Fighters, Rhythm Heaven, Fortune Street, Kirby Mash Attack, Kirby Wii and Mario Party 9. What systems are these games for? Who's making them? We have no idea. Have a nice day!

Call of Duty: Black Ops launched in Japan last week, and though it wasn't the major cultural phenomenon it was here, it managed to top the Media Create sales charts for the week of Nov. 15-21. Well, the PS3 version did, anyway, with 128,922 copies sold. The Xbox 360 version came in at #7 with 30,279 copies. This is just the subtitled release -- it'll get another sales boost in December when the dubbed version arrives. Other success stories in Japan last week include the sequel to Fossil Fighters on DS at #2, Pokemon Black/White at #3, Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition at #4, and Tactics Ogre on PSP at #5. Black Ops trumped Colors last week, as Sonic raced to a #33 finish on Wii and #49 on DS.
