It's not always easy for a game to make it to the second year of operation, but Vindictus has done just that in the European region. To celebrate, EU players are being given wings. Some of them, anyway. The rest are just going to have to purchase them. Here's how it works. When players are logged in at 6:00 p.m. GMT (1:00 p.m. EDT) between today and September 27th, they have a chance to receive the second anniversary gift box which contains a free set of Phoenix Wings. Players not logged in on at that time can purchase the wings directly for 35,000 NX during the limited sales windows: 4:00 p.m to 6:00 p.m. GMT (11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. EDT), September 28th until October 3rd. Players who are uninterested in chasing wings can also take part in the new Siege Mode PvP matches by speaking to the Battlemaster in Rocheste. So everyone gets something for the second year.

Five years is a respectably long time for an MMO to be running, and Fiesta is hitting that milestone this month. That's especially notable as the free-to-play title launched in 2007, when the very concept of a free-to-play game was still in its infancy. But like many MMOs, the team behind the game at Outspark isn't just celebrating internally. Instead, players are going to be reaping the benefits of the game's long life through several events, both in-game and out. Players can start off by taking to the streets in the Birthday Grand Prix race and taking part in the new High Roller event, searching for dice across the game's zones for special prizes. Then there's the Anniversary Dance Event running across the servers at the end of the month, a chance to get together with old friends in the game and dance until you stop. You can also enter to wear a pair of JustBeats Monster Headphones by Dr. Dre on the official Facebook page. Whether you're an old veteran or a new player, if you're a fan of the game, be sure to take part in one of the events before the time runs out! [Source: Outspark press release]

It seems hard to believe that Dungeons and Dragons Online has been running for five years now, but there you have it. The game has become a darling of the free-to-play business model and attracted a great deal of attention since the conversion, but for the fifth anniversary, the game is looking backward. Specifically, it's looking to Smuggler's Rest, once the starter area for new travelers to Stormreach. Though long forgotten, it's not abandoned, and players of all levels will be sent back to help Euphonia Teles try to beat some rapacious scavengers from obtaining the map to Crystal Cove. Euphonia's Challenge: Treasure of Crystal Cove, which our own Rubi Bayer previewed just a few weeks ago, will be available from 10:00 a.m. EST on February 24th to the same time on March 2nd. In addition to participating in the event, players will be awarded a gift for characters created before February 22nd, with older characters getting more impressive hats to don as a show of age. There are also new items in the game's cash shop as well as a special experience and renown bonus for all characters from February 24th through March 1st, plus a Marketplace Egg-Hunt from now until March 6th. Dungeons and Dragons Online has been through a lot of changes over the years, but it's time to go back and celebrate the game's roots. %Gallery-65663%
