WoW Moviewatch: Last Action Crusader
Since you guys couldn't get enough of Gnomechewer, I'm featuring a suggestion by one of our commenters. If you can remember the 90s, a satire film, Last Action Hero, came out, and it starred California's governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger. What was supposed to be a summer blockbuster has ended up the butt of jokes for 15 years. However, the dialogue and action worked much better in Last Action Crusader. Keep in mind that this machinima is seven months old.You're going to have to try to follow along with me on this plot. Arnold Menethil is freed by Scarlet Commander Mograine, and escapes Stormwind to join the Scarlet Crusade. The whole time, he plans to avenge his father's death and reclaim Lordaeron to sit as King. The storyline for this machinima is totally over the top, but then so is the original film that it's parodying. WoW Moviewatch: Through the Roof & Underground
Gnomechewer is apparently so over Level 70 Elite Tauren Cheiftain (L70ETC). In Through the Roof 'n' Underground, he ponders what it would be like if Lower City had a band, appropriately named the Lower City Gypsies. Using a song by Gogol Bordello with the same name as the video, he portrays a little village of gypsy folk dancing, singing, and weaving tales.Fans of Gnomechewer's faster-paced work may end up disappointed with this video. It has a slow development and focuses more on relationships among a group of people. Nevertheless, it's a well-done, beautiful story -- with cookies! WoW Moviewatch: Super Duper Ultimate Edition Extreme
TotalBiscuit felt that yesterday's Moviewatch, Standing in the Way of Control, was "pretentious, all style no substance, and ugly as sin." However, I think he has Gnomechewer all wrong. This machinimator is clearly an experimenter of different ways to create his art. Call me biased, but I simply can't hate on someone that has a WoW character named "Coreyhaim", and did a spoof of a scene from Teen Witch.Super Duper Ultimate Edition Extreme is just another example of his experimental style. He wanted to add a bunch of cool scenes together to form a mishmash of awesome. Set to a soundtrack by Notorious B.I.G., he has the Horde invading Westfall, dwarven pilots, rallying troops, and the Alliance singing songs of inspiration.
