We were combing through our tips box, as well as the comments on our post about Bungie's new Halo 3 teaser, and we couldn't help but notice all the theories being generated by our talented and attractive gaggle of readers. Now, for your enjoyment, (and with some limited commentary from us) we present some of our favorite theories.Reader Jerry emailed us with a detailed analysis, concluding: "You're going to be playing as one of the ODST troops in the pods that you see and the campaign expansion will cover from the time the chief leaves earth in halo 2 until the end of halo 3."Yeah, that's great, Jerry, but it's just so ... practical. You're not thinking crazy enough for us. Sloar said: "It's a new WALL*E game! Yes! Thank the gaming gods!"That's more like it! Not bad, Sloar, but THQ still has the license, as far as we know. Sorry.

Halo 3 Mythic Achievements live, hint at new levels
If you log on to to your Xbox Live account, you're going to notice that your Gamerscore now looks comparatively paltry, thanks to an additional 750 points available for the game. Their source? The 30 new Achievements for Halo Mythic (whatever that is) have gone live for Xbox 360 players. As you peruse the list, you'll find rewards for finding skulls in six different areas: Assembly, Citadel, Heretic, Longshore, Orbital and Sandbox. We're thinking new levels, but the presence of skulls has us wondering if they're single- or multiplayer. Speculate away! Rumor: Halo 3 getting new achievements with Mythic
So, if and when it's actually released, it looks like "Halo Mythic" (whatever it is) might actually add more than "0.1 bettar" to Halo 3. A sneaky spy at PAX caught a few pictures of 30 new achievements, reportedly part of Mythic, that would add a whopping 750 gamerpoints to the game.
