Last day for the Hallow's End ingame costume contest!
Just a reminder that we are in the final stretch of our Hallow's End costume contest-- the entry period ends at 6pm EST this evening, so if you have screenshots of ingame costumes to send, get them in to wowinsidercontests@gmail.com right now!Don't forget, too, that we're giving away a whole trick-or-treat bag of prizes from the very crafty Mana Princess-- she's sending along ribbons, key chains, and a few different varieties of Hearthstones to our chosen winner. And just for fun, we're also tossing in a t-shirt and a 60 day game card. You know the rules by now-- must be a US resident and 18 years of age or older to enter. If the shoe fits, send a jpg of your ingame costume (can be of anyone, in WoW or real life) to wowinsidercontests@gmail.com, and make sure to include your name, age, email, and street address, so we know where to send the prizes to!And even if you don't enter, stay tuned-- we'll have the winner and all the best entrants coming up on the site next week, in an ingame costume parade of our own. Decorative WoW soap bars
Manaprincess is at it again with the WoW crafts. I recently received my Horde ribbon magnet in the mail (and even though I had to sell my car because my new apartment doesn't have parking, I proudly display it on my fridge right next to the Warcraft magnets I got from BlizzCon), but she's opened up into a whole new realm of WoW crafting-- handmade decorative soaps.In all fairness, I can't say this stuff appeals to me near as much-- it's hard to seem Horde-ly when you get excited about decorative soaps. But I can admire her dedication-- these are all homemade, and while Hearthstone keychains are nice, Hearthstone (and Soulstone and Healthstone) soaps are pretty cool, too. I can't get a hold on the scale, though-- are these tiny, or are they "life" sized?And MP is enterprising as always-- she's got these on sale on her site for about $10 for two. If you really, really like decorative soaps (or just need a gift for a dirty WoW player), there you go.
Hearthstones and crafts
I thought we'd covered this Hearthstone jewelry before, but no-- those were Anhk earrings. Lady Kildare has posted some of her WoW crafts on WoW Ladies, and they are pretty sweet. The coasters are apparently made out of cork, and the art on there is familiar looking, but other than that, I have no idea how she put it together, and I love the way the borders look.And the hearthstone stuff is terrific, too. Those of you who were at BlizzCon know that Blizzard gave out a little hearthstone kind of like these, but I like the look of Kildare's better. And the best part is that she's working on one with a blue LED inside, so it'll glow! Now that's cool.For now, everything else is available (for $1 shipping "ftw") on her Etsy page.
