In addition, hot fixes for a slew of issues have been put in today's update including problems with ability combinations and incorrect NPCs in RvR.Access to the KotBS and BG careers has been highly anticipated by those who have not completed the Heavy Metal event. Patch 1.1 is live on the test server for those who want to experience not only the new classes but also the oRvR influence system, chat hyperlinking, and much more. The folks over at Mythic have been epically busy on patches and fixes for Warhammer Online of late. On Tuesday, we reported on patch 1.0.6, which brought tons of changes for classes and combat. Now it seems the RvR performance issues are getting some of their previously-promised love in the form of a client update to help boost frame rate and reduce flickering effects... And patch 1.1 is live on the test server with the intention of releasing today. With a whopping 14 pages of patch notes and development preceding that of 1.0.6, patch 1.1 promises to bring updates to nearly all aspects of the game. There will be new careers available, UI changes, the ability to hyperlink in chat, and most excitingly the new open RvR influence system. You can even get a statue of your character put up in the capital. Strike a pose!

  • WAR hotfix patch cleans up quests and PQs, hides EULA

Following the release of patch 1.0.5, a further update to Warhammer Online has addressed a large number of bugs in various quests and PQs, the full list of which can be found in the hot fix patch notes. A handful of RVR-related problems were also quashed, most notably the lack of Healer NPCs in Kadrin Valley warcamp, and some missing set items in Tier 3 Gold Keep bags.Further tinkering with client performance and stability made it into this hot fix as well, with a focus on "periods of intense combat" -- we'll have to see how that one pans out. However, arguably the best part of the patch is one of the simplest changes -- WAR's EULA will now only need to be agreed to when changes are made to it. Joy! It's the little things in life that make us happy.

  • Warhammer Online hot fixes for Monday, 10/20/08

Yesterday a new Warhammer Online hot fix went out to the live servers that dealt with several content bugs ranging from PvE, RvR to an item fix. The biggest change was probably with The Oathbearer Warbringers, which are now rewarding players for finishing the repeatable Doomfist Crater quests. Also, the Oathbearers now offer the quests to anyone at least rank 18. The item fix simply stops a helmet from appearing for a range of careers that it wasn't supposed to be showing up for at all. So if you've been trying fruitlessly to wear a War Calling Casque Helmet, you might want to check again and see if you're even able to wear the thing.

Between 5:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. PDT today (Sunday July 27th) all U.S. realms will be undergoing a rolling restart. Each realm should be down for about 15 minutes, though these things have a tendency to last longer than scheduled. The login announcement tells us that the servers are getting a hotfix applied to them, however there is no indication what the hotfix is for. If anything does happen to extend this restart, you'll see it here on WoW Insider.

Slorkuz, Mr. Blue Poster over on the European WoW forums, gave us a few hotfixes that have been pushed through this week: Shattered Sun Pendants of Acumen and Might will now be triggered only by spells and abilities which cause damage. Shattered Sun Pendant of Might will no longer break crowd control effects such as Scattershot with its triggered effect. Shattered Sun Pendants of Acumen, Might, and Restoration now all have correct range limits. He also tells us the Power Word: Shield sound is a bug, and that it will be fixed in an upcoming patch.

Drysc is keeping a post up-to-date of all the latest hotfixes that are happening. Patch 2.4 went live without too much trouble this last Tuesday, yet there is a slow but steady stream of issues popping up in the game. Each morning for the next few days we'll let you know about all the hotfixes that have come out the previous day.Yesterday's hotfixes include: Increased Felbound Initiate respawn rate. These are the guys you need in the "Blood for Blood" quest. You can no longer accept the quests given by Magistrix Seyla up in Hellfire Penisula without first compleating "The Missing Magistrix." Thanks to rolling restarts last night, you will now see your server name correctly displayed in battlegrounds. Of course, if something major comes up, expect to see it covered right away on WoW Insider. Enjoy your patch 2.4 fun!

  • PotBS lag fix for Vista computers

So if you've been trying to pillage or blast some pirates out of the water in Pirates of the Burning Sea lately, but find yourself lagging in and out of reasonable levels, fear not as there seems to be salvation. It appears that plenty of players in PotBS have been experiencing similar troubles, which means a solution was inevitable. We're sure there was a small -- but vocal -- group of players sending death threats of some variety to the live team.Thusly, Flying Lab Software has taken notice and offered a fix of sorts. Well all right it's actually a work-around, which means players are going to have to do some tweaking on their own. At least there's a step-by-step guide on how to do everything, but it's definitely not a permanent fix to the problem. Hopefully we'll see a patch come down the line soon that will address the issue.

A few days ago it was reported on the PTR that those dastardly evildoers of dastardly deeds (aka: Warlocks) managed to enslave Brutallus. These vile locks then took their newly enslaved demon out to play. And playing for a creature of pure darkness means letting them wreak havoc onto the unsuspecting citizens of the Isle of Quel'Danas. I would have expected a hotfix to this almost immediately, and some form of public announcement that the bug has been fixed. However as of Saturday at 7 p.m. EST, there has been no such luck. Instead, Blizzard decided to hotfix the Brutallus encounter inside Sunwell Plateau, the new 25 man raid. The hotfixes Blizzard has given the encounter are:
