Yeah, we were pretty bummed that Nintendo's super-hot black Wii wasn't coming to the US, but fear not, fanboys -- it looks like the stealth console has hit the gray-market import scene. Sure, you'll have to pay a bit of a premium at $333, but surely that's a reasonable price for exclusivity, no?[Via DCEmu UK; thanks Craig]

  • Build objects outside Second Life, then import

In Second Life, at least until the introduction of scuplties, there wasn't really a coherent way to create objects in a 3D modeling programme outside of Second Life and import it. Enterprising users have put together specific ways for their application to work together, such as Kisa Naumova's building importer. Thanks to a tip about AC3D from the people at Digital Urban I can report that there is now a cross-platform modeling programme that is both affordable and comes with various plug-ins allowing it to export items from inivis.com's AC3D to Second Life. This includes making sculpties, making boxes, and the inevitable high-prim "make anything with triangles." I wish I could report on just how easy it is to use, but there is a recognised bug in the mac version with Leopard. Whilst AC3D will start for me as soon as I try to do anything it crashes, so I'm currently not able to do it. You can download AC3D and let us know what you think!

Starting today, popular importer Play-Asia will be hosting another one of its bargain blowouts, selling every in-stock item at a 20% discount (excluding products released in the past 30 days). Dubbing the event "Crazy Week," the online store will be marking down thousands of its games and accessories until next Thursday. Some of you might not think that 20% off isn't a great deal, especially when you factor in shipping and handling. We would probably be inclined to agree with you if we hadn't come across Play-Asia's reduced pricing on the bit Generations series. Coloris and Orbital have been cut down to $19.92, while all of the other titles are listed at a ridonkulous $11.92! That includes critically-acclaimed games like Dostream and Soundvoyager! If that isn't enough to convert the 49% of you who haven't imported games yet, we don't know what will. [Via CAG]

Popular importer Lik-Sang has filled all of their preorders and are there once again for your anxious importing mouse-click. They've even got that addictive Crystal Cocaine Lite available. I personally have been waiting for its release stateside, but it's getting harder and harder with each new happy owner I read about.
