Brutal Legend PC limited edition coming soon from IndieBox
Indie game distributor IndieBox revealed that it will soon ship a Limited Edition version of Double FIne's heavy metal action-RTS Brutal Legend to subscribers, celebrating the game's fifth anniversary and marking the first time its PC version has seen a physical release. Launched earlier this year, IndieBox ships out physical versions of standout indie games to subscribers on a monthly basis, bundling featured titles with exclusive bonus material. The contents of Brutal Legend's Limited Edition were not announced, and will not be revealed until the package hits subscriber mailboxes. Buyers can reserve a Limited Edition package for Brutal Legend by placing an order with IndieBox by 11:59 p.m. EST tonight. New subscribers can enter the promo code ROCKTOBER25 for a 25 percent discount. IndieBox ships mystery PC games monthly, starting with Teslagrad
Orlando-based PC game subscription service IndieBox has launched its first boxed product in an effort to fight the "race to the bottom" syndrome that often sinks indie game pricing. Customers who subscribe to IndieBox (starting at $14.99 monthly, plus shipping), will receive a deluxe-edition, boxed indie game for Windows, Mac, and Linux in the mail every month that includes an array of bonus items like buttons, stickers, and soundtrack CDs. The service's debut game Teslegrad recently shipped out to subscribers in a Sega Genesis-styled box and USB cartridge casing. Featured games are not disclosed until monthly products hit subscriber mailboxes, and five additional games are planned for shipment in the coming months.
