Sony teased some of its coming PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection releases today, revealing that subscribers will receive free copies of NetherRealm's one-on-one fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition and Wild West shoot-'em-up Secret Ponchos for the PlayStation 4 next month. Standalone Infamous: Second Son expansion Infamous: First Light and atmospheric puzzler The Swapper are next in line to join the PS4 Instant Game Collection in January. Sony notes that Injustice arrives as "the first AAA Blu-ray title to join the Instant Game Collection for PS4," replacing the postponed racer Driveclub: PS Plus Edition while developer Evolution Studios sorts out lingering server issues. "We understand many of you are waiting for Driveclub PS Plus Edition to be added to the Instant Game Collection, and we apologize that the game is not yet ready to launch," PlayStation Digital Platforms senior manager Matthew Harper stated. "We want you to know that we're committed to providing Driveclub PS Plus Edition to members when it's ready, and the Evolution team is working hard to make it a reality." [Image: Warner Bros]

A $60 game is an expensive proposition, but you knock $20 off the price and things get tempting. Best Buy is looking to do just that with a PS4 launch game sale and is offering up Knack and Killzone: Shadow Fall for $40, with free shipping on all orders over $25. Best Buy is also knocking some ducats off Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 (both the Standard and Limited editions) and Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition. All of these games are available for $50 with free shipping. While we'd have a hard time suggesting Knack for any price, Killzone: Shadow Fall is a tempting deal. In our review, we said Killzone: Shadow Fall has some interesting sci-fi moments but is ultimately a game residing on "the border between good and great."

The PC version of Injustice: Gods Among Us is a bit late to the party, but to convince would be Batmen - Batmans? - to grab a copy, Steam is now offering a discount to any who pre-order the fighter. Being an Ultimate Edition, the PC game includes all of the heroes, villains, costumes and STAR Labs missions included in the initial release of Injustice: Gods Among Us, as well as the game's copious DLC additions. In sum, that's six additional characters, 30 new costumes and 60 extra missions to test your crime fighting (or causing) abilities. This 10 percent discount is currently available to any Steam user, though keep in mind that it's only valid for a limited time. Once Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition launches on November 12, it will return to its standard $50 price point.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition, which includes last year's critically acclaimed fighter and all its downloadable content, will smash retail walls on November 12 and 29 in the Americas and Europe, respectively. The super-powered spectacle is priced at $59.99 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PS4, $49.99 for PC and $39.99 for Vita. And yes, you saw that right: a PlayStation 4 version but nothing for Xbox One. Curious. The extra DLC, valued at over $120 according to publisher Warner Bros., includes Lobo, Batgirl, General Zod, Martian Manhunter, Zatanna and Jim Lee's reimagined Scorpion from Mortal Kombat. There are also 40 more character skins, 60 S.T.A.R. Labs Missions and – for American copies – a soundtrack to boot.
