Dirt Dog Gaming's Sunwell daily chart
So, by now I'm sure many of you have made your way to the Sunwell and started figuring out the daily quests. You've probably checked out our walkthroughs of the new dailies for Shattrath and the 1st phase of the offensive, and gotten your bearings pretty well. Still, there's a lot of quests to deal with, and it can understandably get a bit boggling sorting through them all. That's where Infamy of Dirt Dog Gaming steps in, with a very handy chart that breaks down all the various phases of the offensive with handy color coding indicating which quests are progressive towards unlocking content. It's definitely a very nicely done resource, and one which should help you plan out your daily runs as you work towards exalted SSO reputation, epic flying mount money, or just unlocking the island completely. What you can't do now that 2.4 is live -- at least not yet
So, 2.4 is live, (some of) the servers are up -- did you really expect things to go smoothly? -- and you're raring to head to the Isle of Quel'danas and start kicking some legion behind in the name of justice and awesome badge loot. But before you go, just remember that you can't do it all on the first day. That's not only because you have to take a break from WoW sometime, but because there's a few things that will only be unlocked for your enjoyment with time and/or completed dailies.
A guide to Hunter badge loot in 2.4
So 2.4's going live, and I know your first question: What's in it for me? If you're a Hunter, let me enlighten you, at least on the subject of badge loot. There's a couple pieces of mail armor and a few new weapons that Hunters should have their eye on once Smith Hauthaa is open for business, and I'll give you the breakdown on how they stack up for Hunters after the Break. Just to note, I will mostly be comparing these to T5 and T6 drops, and will assume that you won't be attacking the Sunwell immediately.
Top 7 reasons I am looking forward to 2.4
So with patch 2.4 coming on us soon, I was thinking about it, and I have to say that I can't remember the last time I was filled with this much anticipation over a patch. Aside from 1.8, which made Feral Druids viable, this might be my favorite patch. But why do I love it? Why can't I wait until the servers come up on patch day and we're allowed in? Let me count the ways! Here's 7 relatively simple reasons that I am watching my computer like a hawk, waiting for 2.4 to make it live.
The character copy queue is currently full
With the US PTR featuring patch 2.4 up and running, there is some news to report! You cannot copy your characters over right now. A message is up saying "The character copy queue is currently full." There is an average wait time of 4 days for a copy. In my experience this has been right about 50% of the time. If your character was previously copied, there's a chance you can play it now. There are level 70's on the Isle of Quel'Danas. The PvE server appears to be buggy. Sometimes it is letting me in, sometimes it isn't. Also, character creation is not always working.
