As the 2019-2020 NBA season gets ready to tip off on October 22nd, Nike has unveiled new colors of its signature basketball sneakers for opening week. One of those is the KD12 "YouTube," the latest edition of Kevin Durant's performance shoe that's themed after Google's video service. And while Durant won't make his debut for the Brooklyn Nets until sometime next year, due to a ruptured Achilles tendon suffered last season, Nike wanted to create a design to show his love for YouTube as a way to connect with fans. Durant joined YouTube in 2017, and has since used his channel to post videos about him traveling and meeting people around the world.

Master & Dynamic just got a big step up thanks to NBA star Kevin Durant and his company, Thirty Five Ventures. The investment business, which has backed the likes of Postmates and Coinbase, will become an equity partner in the New York City-based audio brand, and work with them to create and build products with a focus on sports and music. In June, for example, the partnership will launch a special edition "Studio 35" colorway of the newly released MW65 noise-cancelling headphones, with other projects in the pipeline. Durant is well-known for his Beats by Dre endorsement, so he's clearly a man who loves his music.

2016 was a dumpster fire of a year for Twitter. Abusive language and toxic interaction became the norm across the microblogging site as it saw a dramatic rise in activity from users on the far right and their crystallization into the alt-right movement. But for as painful as last year was for the company, 2017 has seen it steadfastly refuse to do little else but pour more gasoline on the flames.

2K Sports' latest trailer for NBA 2K15 includes voiceover work by the basketball sim's pre-game commentary team Ernie Johnson and Shaquille O'Neal, the latter coining the phrase "Yakkem." Set to "Suck my Kiss" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, the video shows the player models of a number of athletes, including LeBron James in his Cavaliers uniform. The publisher issued a second video late last week in which NBA players Steph Curry, James Harden, Anthony Davis and NBA 2K15 cover athlete Kevin Durant discuss the NBA 2K series. NBA 2K15 will launch October 7 for PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. 2K Sports added 11 new Euroleague teams to this year's game, which features a soundtrack hand-picked by Pharrell Williams. 2K Sports announced its cover athlete for NBA 2K15 today, and it's none other than Oklahoma City Thunder small forward Kevin Durant. Durant was recently crowned the NBA's most valuable player, so there really is no better basketball player to have on the game's cover. NBA 2K15 will launch October 7 in North America and October 10 internationally. The basketball sim is in development by Visual Concepts for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The last entry in the series, NBA 2K14, was the first to arrive on Xbox One and PS4 at each console's launch following its current-gen and PC release in early October 2013. The game suffered major server issues, which locked players out of MyTeam and NBA Today content entirely, even after the next-gen versions received a sizable patch. As of February, Take-Two had shipped more than five million copies of the game. [Image: 2K Sports]

With more than 10 million-plus sales and loyal fans all over the world, Doodle Jump developer Lima Sky is making the next logical leap for the franchise, Broadway. Doodle Jump Live! will make its stage debut in 2014, with an all-star production team lead by Julie Taymor of Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark fame. Recent GEICO spokesman and '80s pop icon Eddie Money will provide the score to what producers are calling "the highest musical of all time." Leading the cast in this sky-scraping adventure is Oklahoma City Thunder forward and Broadway virgin Kevin Durant in the role of the Doodle the Doodler. The production will follow Doodle as he bounces and jumps toward the sky in search of Cloud City and his long-lost high school sweetheart, Princess Doodlette. Along the way he will face danger, enemies and the possibility that Cloud City might not exist at all. "Every day I am asked why I haven't created a live version of Doodle Jump, since it is such an obvious match for Broadway," said Igor Pusenjak, creator of Doodle Jump and executive producer of Doodle Jump Live! "Despite countless big-money offers, it never felt quite right. But when this creative triumvirate walked into Lima Sky's headquarters, the vision became crystal clear." The production has found its home at The Gershwin Theater, the long-running home of the Broadway smash Wicked. Accordingly, Wicked will shut down production in late 2013 for Doodle Jump Live!, as three additional stories must be added to the iconic theater to fully realize the production. For readers uncertain of Durant's ability to equally pull off the musical and physical aspects of production, we have included proof of the athlete's vocal prowess. Obviously the 2014 Tony Awards just got a lot more interesting.

EA has a lot riding on NBA Elite 11, the reboot of its once-great-but-gone-stale NBA Live series. Using its brand-new control scheme primarily utilizing the analog sticks, our time with the game was a breathe of fresh air -- and it would seem a few NBA players agree. Past the break, you'll find a video of Stephen Curry, Brandon Jennings and cover star Kevin Durant sharing their feelings on the game. Overall, they seem to agree that the new control scheme feels natural. Oh, and just because it's an EA-created video, we don't think you should write off its content: Curry's tale of failed three-point shots speaks volumes about the new skill-based shooting. %Gallery-96126%
