WoW Moviewatch: Momento Adventures: Ximista's Origins
Today on Moviewatch we bring to you a different sort of Machinima, a blend of in-game artwork and scenes as the backdrop to animated characters. At first I was rather skeptical of how it all looked and if it'd work, but by about a minute into it I was digging it.The movie is in French with English subtitles, so those of us who don't speak the language of fries are in luck (okay, I kid... I kid... It's Friday, I'm allowed to make bad jokes.).Definitely check out this very well animated cartoon. It runs just under 16 minutes too, so you'll have a bit of entertainment. And big props to Krys on his accomplishment."But I don't want to! ... You should have played Freecell instead."
WoW Moviewatch: The Mini-Show of Krys
In honor of today's subject, I was going to try and write this recap in French. As my French skills are kind of sad, though, I ended up sparing you that pain. But I tried. Today's Moviewatch is pretty cool. The Mini-Show of Krys is definitely a different take on what you can do with the world and objects in World of Warcraft. French animator Krys has put together an animated series based on the game, and uses the world at large as a backdrop for most of his animation. Don't worry -- there are subtitles aplenty. This is the 6th in the series created by Krys. It's definitely light hearted and an amusing offering. I know I'll be quoting "You suffer the punishment of Doggy the Dog!" in the battlegrounds for a while, and that's not all the laughs the Mini-Show has to offer. I often wonder if some of the humor doesn't get lost (or injected) in language translation. The English subtitling is definitely solid, though, so I don't think we're missing out on much of Krys's humor. This is definitely a series I'll be watching for later installments.
