YouTube is perhaps the single biggest public repository of music videos, but many are bit outdated, with visuals and audio designed for old TVs with single speakers, and others that could use a bit of an upgrade too. Many videos from major artists will soon look and sound much better though, as YouTube and Universal Music Group are remastering almost 1,000 of them "to the highest possible standards."

The U.S. SingStar Store is still playing catch-up with its European counterpart, but today's 60-odd new arrivals should bring us a bit closer to parity. Check out the full list of new tracks, including packs from No Doubt, A-Ha and Lionel Richie and the Commodores, after the jump.

When we saw the marked-down Gundam Cross Drive DS Lite yesterday -- which, by the way, we hope you did, or the picture above won't even come close to making sense -- we briefly considered dropping the $160 for it. But in the end we decided that, even though $160 was cheap for that item, it's still pretty expensive for a thing we didn't need and didn't expect to pay for.Do you have a ceiling for impulse buys? Does it vary by mood? Or is there a certain amount that you don't mind spending on unplanned game stuff? At what point do you have to start thinking about it?

Every Tuesday think "T" for Turpster and take the "a" in "day", capitalise it, remove the little bit in the middle, turn it upside down and you get a "V". Put the two together and you'll have TV for TurpsterVision -- the best Internet video podcast on Massively! (Never mind that business about it being the only video podcast on Massively...) I really hoped that I haven't peaked as an MMO reviewer, because this week's episode, complete with costumes and musical accompaniment, might be the best TV yet. This week our friendly co-lead blogger, Mike Schramm, punished me by having me review what many regard as an absolutely terrible game. With that said we invite you to join us after the break to see if Turpster can survive against such a title and hopefully answer the question on the lips of players around the world: Can Turpster really sing? I fear the answer to that question is no, but that doesn't stop him from trying!

  • Best of 2007: Games that remind me of your mother

I have fond memories of your mother -- yes, all of your mothers. Up until now, I've kept those memories separate from Wii Fanboy, mostly out of professional courtesy. After seeing how most of you ignored Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure, however, I have thrown civility out the window. The gloves are off now, and good riddance, as it'd be difficult to type about the games that remind me of your mom while wearing those restrictive mittens.

  • Wii Warm Up: Is it this Metroid image you're looking for?

Every time I go back through Metroid-related posts while looking for background material on a new post, I stop in my tracks when I get to this post from our Metroid Week event. Eric's Samus/Lionel Richie image is so hilariously out-of-nowhere that it short circuits my thought process and I have to stop and appreciate it before I can even remember what I was doing. I laugh out loud pretty much every time I see it. And then I imagine the "Hello" video with a fully-armored Samus Aran in place of Ola Ray and I can't breathe,I'm laughing so hard.Something this good deserves not only to be re-run, but to be celebrated in its own post. So I'm taking the Saturday discussion topic to do just that. I'm celebrating our friend Eric and his brilliantly weird post image. Feel free to chat about Metroid or Lionel Richie or how "Hello" makes you cry.
