We're practically knee deep in 2012 at this point, and yet 2011 still refuses to give up the limelight, dropping financial data and sales reports on its way out the door in a desperate final attempt at relevance. So here we are, with a list of 2011's top sellers on the PlayStation Network ... and we've got two lists dominated by one game from 1985, and one from 2010.Speaking only in terms of full games, not "paid downloads" (like DLC packs for Black Ops) and PS Minis, the list is a hodgepodge of nostalgia-fueled favorites from yesteryear (like Tetris in its curiously lofty number one spot), and digitally distributed future-classics like Castle Crashers and Limbo, which ranked in at six and seven respectively. There's on important thread tying those together: none of those games launched in 2011.When all digital sales are taken into account, however, the list becomes an entirely different beast, and the only actual game present within the top 10 is Angry Birds, of all things (a PS Mini). In fact, the three best-selling anythings on the PlayStation Network in 2011 were Black Ops DLC packs, followed closely by a cavalcade of FIFA Soccer 12 and MLB 11 sundries. At least the DLC came out in 2011! Hop past the break for the full breakdown of both lists, care of Game Informer.

In addition to Joe Danger's Xbox Live Arcade debut, this Wednesday will host a handful of new DLC for several titles, Major Nelson reveals. Alongside the previously revealed "Vengeance and Virtue" DLC for Pinball FX2 ($10) and the "Lost Adventures" DLC for Orcs Must Die! ($4), we also have some heretofore unknown DLC for The Gunstringer, Fruit Ninja Kinect and Magic the Gathering: Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012. For $3 each, The Gunstringer will receive "Real Big Shootin'" DLC, while Magic will be dealt its second expansion. Meanwhile, Fruit Ninja Kinect players can grab the Holiday Pack for free. We don't have details on any of the DLC, though we're really hoping the Fruit Ninja Holiday DLC includes sliceable fruitcakes.

The Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet DLC "Shadow Hunters" was originally set to be released in September, but that didn't happen. It's just shown up on Major Nelson's latest "coming soon" list of XBLA content, scheduled for release on October 12. The schedule also includes some nice sales both this week and next. From today through October 10, you can get Catan, Magic the Gathering 2012, Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, and Battleship for 50% off in the "Never Be Board Again" sale. Also half off is Bethesda "Games, Add-ons, and Avatars." Next week, the "Saints and Shadows" sale will knock 600 points off the price of Shadow Complex, with Perfect Dark available for half-off as well. Saints Row 2 will be 25% off, with its DLC available at half price. Combined with that ITSP content, that's rather a lot of shadow.

Card tapping aficionados can take on other summoners this summer through the magic of the internet with Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 on XBLA, PSN and PC/Steam. The new standalone game will add "new game modes, Planeswalker opponents, decks, puzzle challenges" and more. The title will feature a tutorial to ease new players into the potentially overwhelming card game, along with a "new-to-digital" multiplayer mode called Archenemy, where two allies take on an AI. PAX East attendees can check out the new Archenemy game mode for Duels of the Planeswalkers 2012 at the Magic booth (#648) on the show floor.
