Gaming is a hobby, but sometimes it can feel like a job. As developers try to boost replayability, your gaming commitments can become anxiety-inducing. Just ask anyone who dared to attempt achieving 100% of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. At first, it's a fun and wonderful romp through a vivid world that's just oozing with life and character. By the end, you wish you'd never left Vice City. Did anyone here complete all of Super Smash Bros Brawl? I'm talking Classic Mode with every character, all of the Event matches, the target smashes, and every trophy and sticker available. At a certain point, some games can become an obligation rather than a means to entertainment. Today being Labor Day in the US, let's take a break from completing every mission, collecting every star, and unlocking all bonus content. Sometime between your 11 AM rise from bed and your evening consumption of copious amounts of hot dogs at your family barbeque, take some time to truly enjoy gaming. Here's our Top 5 recommendations. With the advent of the Wii, baseball fans are throwing in realism for rock-em-sock-em chibi sports games, complete with big heads, big bats and little (or in this case, completely absent) legs. It was a joyous affair when 2K Sports first hit the airwaves with details of the MLB Power Pros series, and now the rugged little chaps have stepped up to the plate for the next season of quasi-baseball fun in MLB Power Pros 2008.Little in size doesn't necessarily mean little on content. Gameplay modes include Exhibition, League, Home Run Challenge, Success and MLB Life -- just to name a few. Wannabe big-shots can manage teams and organize rosters, seasons and equipment, all with the goal of becoming World Series champion. MLB 2008 looks pretty gosh darn good, and with solid gameplay to back it up, this might be a winner when it hits the shelves on July 29th. Fans of baseball, be excited. The MLB Power Pros franchise isn't going away, as 2K and Konami announce the joint venture of bringing MLB Power Pros 2008 to a DS near you this fall. The game will feature real MLB players, along with the a promising Franchise mode that lets you take over the role of general manager and control your team's destiny. The game will also feature two story-based game modes, in the Success and MLB Life modes. In Success mode, players take part in the story-based career of rising players in the Double-A Minor League system, where MLB Life lets players simulate the exciting life and experience of being a Major League Baseball player over the course of a 20-year career.
