Click for bigger cars -- brrm, brrrm! Sony has revealed the full track list for MotorStorm Pacific Rift. The 16 levels are split between four zones, each based on an element. In the Air Zone you'll find lots of jumps, cliffs and downhill sections while the Earth Zone is a little more down to earth (get it?), with plenty of plants and undergrowth which can get in your way, hide obstacles and, apparently, fight back. In the Fire Zone you'll be faced with lava pits, volcanoes and rocky wastelands and, finally, in the Water Zone you'll find the island's coast, huge waterfalls and rivers. For a description of each of the 16 tracks, check after the break for the press release excerpt. This should please those who found the dusty desert setting of the original MotorStorm a bit dull after a while. Pacific Rift promises to be incredibly varied, especially when you check out the tracks themselves. We've been given a huge number of screenshots to get up, including maps of most of the tracks, so check them out in the gallery below. It's definitely worth a look. %Gallery-22308%

Sorry to disappoint you folks, but apparently the MotorStorm listing for the PSP we told you about yesterday on Game.co.uk was an error. The guys over at Videogamer got in touch with an SCEE spokesperson, who confirmed the listing was a mistake and requested that Game.co.uk remove the listing. This doesn't mean a PSP version of the MotorStorm won't happen in the future, especially considering the positive responses the listing generated, but for now nothing is in the works.

A listing for a PSP version of MotorStorm on UK retailer GAME's website was a mistake, reports VideoGamer. A Sony Europe spokesperson confirms that GAME made an error and that the page should be removed shortly.Although, not exactly portable -- unless you pull a Ben Heck -- MotorStorm's sequel, Pacific Rift, will be available on PS3 Oct. 28.

While the MotorStorm: Pacific Rift demo is currently only available via Qore in America, SCEE has sent out a batch of redemption codes to a number of lucky Europeans. Check your emails and make sure it's not lurking in your spam. We're not sure whether all the codes have now been sent out, or if there are more to come, but keep checking throughout the day just in case. Did you get one? Simply enter the code in the redemption screen in your acccount management section of the XMB and you can begin your download. Let us know what you think, both of the demo and of this method of content distribution.[Thanks stargateheaven]

If Pure isn't your thing, then there's always MotorStorm Pacific Rift to bring you more off-road racing action on your PS3. Luckily, the mudslinging, dirt-in-face title won't keep you waiting long as an official October 28 release for North America is now set in stone. With 4-player split screen, 16 multi-route tracks, and Trophies, it might be hard to say no to this one. Just don't be left in the dust and check out the demo which is out now via Qore. Better yet, brush up on your knowledge and read some previews.

We wouldn't be surprised to see MotorStorm make the jump from PS3 to PSP. A ton of games are making the leap to Sony's handheld, like Resistance Retribution, Everyday Shooter, Super Stardust Portable, and flOw. Of course, this could be a simple database entry mistake by a Game.co.uk employee -- but for now, we're keeping our hopes high that PSP gets its own version of the intense off-road racing game.

We had a chance to check in with MotorStorm: Pacific Rift once again. An "80% complete" demo we played gave us access to four different levels: two single player and two split-screen races. Easily the most impressive level we played had to be the Wildfire level. This level takes everything that's good about MotorStorm and amplifies it to the extreme. Pacific Rift's play on hot versus cold goes into full effect here, in this dark volcanic level. It's unlike anything we've seen from the game so far, and it's a terrific contrast to the usual lush greens of the game. With deadly lava and fire everywhere, this is quite possibly the most dramatic level in the MotorStorm series so far. Of course, with the heat so high, your vehicle will have a rather easy disposition to overheat whilst boosting -- we even went so far as to explode our bike. Ouch! Thankfully, there are numerous showering stations scattered throughout the branching course, which will cool down your vehicle and take out any fire which may still be clinging to your vehicle. The constant switch between molten lava and refreshing water is not only visually arresting, but creates a very good gameplay balance. Do you opt to take a shorter route to shave a few seconds off your time, or do you go headstrong through the water to cool down your vehicle, and earn a little bit more boost?%Gallery-22308%

It appears that the next episode of Sony's Qore digital magazine will feature the Motorstorm: Pacific Rift demo a month before it's free for all. That means $3 can secure you the demo, at least if you don't want the $25 annual Qore subscription, which will net you Calling All Cars as well. The fourth installment of Qore will also feature a LittleBigPlanet theme, Prince of Persia and BioShock ... yes, we wrote that just in case you somehow missed the same information in the picture above.[PS3 Fanboy]%Gallery-30178%

It looks like Qore has scored yet another exclusive for its upcoming issue. The PSN video magazine will cover games like LittleBigPlanet, Prince of Persia, MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and BioShock. However, more exciting are the Burger King-sponsored downloads. Qore purchasers will be able to get their hands on the MotorStorm demo a month before the general public, and they'll also get an exclusive LittleBigPlanet theme.Qore is available for $2.99 an issue, $24.99 for an annual subscription. The sequel to PS3's bippity-boppity-blazingly-fast off-road racer, Motorstorm, was shown only a wee bit of love at Sony's E3 press conference. Thankfully for it, Pacific Rift is being promoted much more vigorously on what's left of a show floor. It's getting dirt and palm fronds everywhere. While we can't promise anything, we think it's reasonably safe to watch the video above devoid of fear that the game will make a mess of your personal space. Reasonably safe.

It's E3. It shouldn't be surprising that Sony would release a brand new trailer for their upcoming Motorstorm sequel. It may look like more of the same, but in this case, "more" really means a lot more. Seeing the franchise finally leave the desert for a bit more varied territory is refreshing -- some of these levels look incredibly epic in scope. We have some hands-on time with the game coming up, and we'll be able to report to you guys very soon. Until then, enjoy the new trailer and new screenshots: %Gallery-22308%

Two retail print ads have shown what appears to be three PlayStation 3 titles getting the "Greatest Hits" treatment. The trio shouldn't be surprising: Resistance, Motorstorm and Warhawk. A Kmart print ad shows box art with a red banner reading "Greatest Hits," while a Circuit City ad shows the same three games, sans new packaging, for $30. (You can tell it's the most recent ad since Soul Calibur IV is mentioned as coming out this week.) • 80GB MotorStorm packs discontinued

File this under the "no duh" category. The current 80GB pack, which includes a SIXAXIS controller, 80GB PS3 system and a copy of MotorStorm is no longer being sent to retailers. "Retailers aren't getting any new inventory of the 80GB Motorstorm bundle," a Sony rep told Joystiq. However, on June 12th, the 80GB PS3 bundle will be replaced by the much more attractive Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle. For the same price, purchasers will get a rumble-ready DualShock 3 controller and a copy of the biggest game of the year forever. That's a pretty sweet deal.

Sony has just confirmed to Joystiq that the 80GB PlayStation 3 SKU, bundled with Motorstorm, is no longer being supplied to retailers. "Retailers aren't getting any new inventory of the 80GB Motorstorm bundle," said a carefully worded statement issued by Sony. This doesn't mean the 80GB model is out of production, merely that the focus is switching to the forthcoming 80GB bundle that features a copy of Metal Gear Solid 4 and a DualShock 3 (not be confused with the limited-edition "Gun Metal Gray" bundle available exclusively through Konami's website). We've sent a follow-up request to Sony asking for the official street date for the 80GB MGS4 bundle and will update if and when we hear back. Update: The 80GB MGS4 bundle is conveniently scheduled for release on June 12.

Click for high-resolution image. There's a bigger, badder and more badass sequel coming out this year. You guessed it: MotorStorm Pacific Rift. There's more to be excited about in the sequel other than interactive vegetation. If you didn't hear, Pacific Rift is going to have twice the tracks of the original, and four-player split-screen racing (something sorely missing from the original).Pacific Rift is also going to add a number of commonly requested features, such as a Photo Mode, which allows you to take screenshots from within the game to store and share on your PS3. There's also Custom Soundtracks, which allows you to play music from your hard drive, so you can finally drive around thrashing to Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne (if you so choose).Sixteen tracks. Twenty player online multiplayer. Custom soundtracks. Photo mode. Monster trucks. It really looks like Pacific Rift is really going above and beyond the original's offerings.
