If you prefer to catch-up on TV shows instead of watching them as they air, Amazon's latest announcement might be of interest. After bringing all major UK broadcasters to the Fire TV, the company has turned its attention to the streamer's smaller sibling, the Fire TV Stick, confirming today that the HDMI dongle now supports BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All 4 and My5. It doesn't matter which Fire TV or Fire TV Stick model you own, they now all feature catch-up apps provided by the UK's biggest broadcasters. Add to that support Amazon's own Video service, Netflix and other major streaming services and you've got yourself a few reasons to skip your traditional TV box entirely.

MacNN reports that Rogers Wireless will be revising its iPhone plans on October 1 to include a new 250 minute plan for $60, among other changes. The new bundles, MacNN says, would feature a $60 plan with: 250 daytime minutes 75 texts 1GB data Visual Voicemail three months of unlimited local calling a permanent MY5 Local option A $75 plan may also be available, with 400 minutes, 100 texts, and 2GB data. Early on, Rogers has had a rocky relationship with iPhone customers, many of whom are unhappy with the relatively high cost of plan rates and miniscule data allowances. Canadian readers: Is this an improvement, or does Rogers still have a long way to go? Let us know by leaving a comment.

Rogers Canada wants to get in on the "calling circle" feature that many US carriers are now promoting (like Alltel and T-Mobile), and it looks like it's done just that. The "MY5" calling / texting plan feature on Rogers lets subscribers add the new feature to their existing calling plans an add-on and enjoy unlimited texting to those five special numbers and unlimited calling to those same five phones -- wired or wireless -- on any network. The catch: with the unlimited calling to your five buds or family members, the minutes are only local. So, no unlimited MY5 calling across the entire country of Canada here. You almost had us at hello, Rogers.[Thanks, Skaffman]
