When it comes to irreverent, fun, free-to-play games that some of the crew here at Massively are fond of, Zentia has managed to earn a spot on that listing. Sure, the brightly-colored landscape may not be in everyone's style, but games that don't take themselves seriously definitely should be! Along with the promise of everyday shrimp versus crab battles, Zentia's upcoming 1.2 patch will add in a lot of things that players have been looking forward to. Aside from a new zone, new mounts, pets, items and more things of a normal nature that players expect in large updates, patch 1.2 will also offer up many other changes. Among the plans are a new Marriage system, a way to earn even more experience, and a Consignment system that will allow players to sell their items to other players server-wide. For now, while we wait for more details, we have a teaser trailer after the jump, offering a first look into this upcoming Zentia expansion, as well as a few new screenshots tucked into the gallery below. But really, epic shrimp versus crab battles... Do we need to say more? %Gallery-98306%

The LEGO brand is nothing if not a universe of heterogeneity -- race cars, aquatic explorers, space police, and even Batman have long existed side-by-side. The newest kid on the metaphorical block is the just-begun Ninjago line, and it's being celebrated in LEGO Universe with the addition of the newest zone, Crux Prime. But the zone has more to offer than just a cavalcade of ninja, with brand-new gear, weapons, and decals for players to unlock as they progress through the zone's new content. Players will be tasked with finding the long-lost Sensei Wu amid the ruins of the Ninjago Monastery to learn the powerful skill known as Spinjitzu. They'll need it, too, with Maelstrom Skeletons attempting to steal the beacon of Imagination from the tower in Crux Prime. With over 100 new missions for players to undertake and an ongoing story that promises to unfold over time, LEGO Universe players should find plenty to like about Crux Prime. Take a sneak peek at the zone in the gallery below as well as the trailer past the cut. %Gallery-113923%

If you've played MMOs for any length of time, you're no doubt aware that the ability to soar through our favorite virtual worlds isn't exactly widespread. While flying mounts have appeared in AAA games including World of Warcraft, Vanguard, and soon, EverQuest II, few games let you soar with abandon like Flyff (which stands for Fly For Fun). The free-to-play title has been giving players the gift of flight since 2005 due to the fact that it's main form of post-20 transportation is via some sort of airborne apparatus. Flyff's newest expansion, V17, looks to continue this trend and is also adding a new Colosseum System designed to allow players to battle bosses for loot rewards. A Cooperation System is also in the cards, as are a boatload of new quests, a new dungeon, and a entirely new zone. Check out Flyff's official website for more info on the V17 expansion as well as the game's 20+ character classes, and be sure to view the V17 trailer after the jump.

  • Lost Pages of Taborea: Level 62 growing pains

Halloween has stubbornly refused to leave the land of Candara and is relentlessly holding monster parades around the clock. While it may be boring some, other persistent folk are probably stock-piling enough candy to make it all the way to next Halloween. So while we conveniently ignore the Pumpkin Prince, I want look ahead to the coming new zone. I've been steadily finding great content on the Runes of Magic forum, and the new level-cap increase is a hot subject right now. When chapter 3 rolled out, we knew we'd be seeing the maximum level raised to 60, but this new one wasn't expected, especially not so soon. This new level cap will take us into Limo Desert and to level 62. That means at least one new dungeon, new quests and most likely new armor. There's more than a few in the Runes of Magic community, including CM Swag, who have voiced their opinions both for and against another raise in levels so soon. Let's take a look at the situation that this presents, and I'll give my opinion on the new level cap.%Gallery-108554%

Frogster's latest press release talks up the forthcoming content patch for free-to-play MMORPG Runes of Magic. The update, version 3.0.6, will introduce the new Limo Desert zone, which boasts nine sub-regions, a new instance, and seven oasis settlements that double as player supply points. The desert is inhabited by dog-like bipedal creatures, appropriately called the Canine, who have split into two sects (the Iron Teeth and Rotteneyes clans). The Kingdom of Limon -- one of the aforementioned desert sub-regions -- features a pyramid burial chamber that houses a decorated Canine war hero as well as plenty of new tactical challenges for players. Check out more information on Runes of Magic at the game's official website.

Frogster, publishers of the free-to-play fantasy MMORPG Runes of Magic, has just announced the release of a brand-new adventuring zone called the Northern Janost Forest. The new zone, also known as Black Blood Forest thanks to some of its beastmen inhabitants, is previewed at Alltern8. While the article is light on specific game details, it does detail a fair amount of background and lore information. The zone features two main plot lines, the first concerning a race of warriors known as the Leonines of Angren and the second revolving around Morrok Wallinder, a dragon envoy. The zone also features a new epic quest called The Degenerated Elves, which looks to involve players in a war between the Angren and the Jyr'na elves. "Before the Jyr'na Elves went mad, they co-existed peacefully with the nature-loving Angren, but as they started to research forbidden magic, the Jyr'na Elves were overcome with an endless lust for power. The changes to the plants of Janost Forest affected the habitat of the Angren, and a war broke out making Dimstar Swamp their battlefield," says the article. Check out the full text at Alltern8.
