Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver, the 2010 DS remakes of the Game Boy games that added the train-as-you-move Pokewalker device, can now be relived sonically. The 270-song Pokemon HeartGold & Pokemon SoulSilver: Super Music Collection soundtrack is available for $9.99 on iTunes. Good thing you don't have to capture those tracks individually! The new release follows the availability of soundtracks for Pokemon FireRed/LeafGreen and Pokemon X/Y earlier this year. If you're still holding out for jams from other Pokeregions, remember that we can expect to see soundtracks for the following duos in 2014: Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Pokemon Black/White and Pokemon Black 2/White 2. If you don't already own HeartGold/SoulSilver but still want to kick up those childhood memories, this is a decent alternative from paying the steadily-increasing entry price for new copies of either game.

Odds are that if you want it, you've already got the Red Dead Redemption soundtrack, given that it was included both with the Limited Edition of the game, and available on sale over at Amazon MP3. But just in case you prefer physical liner notes with your music, Rockstar now has the original soundtrack CD available in its online store, featuring all the tunes from the hugely popular virtual Wild West title. The CD comes with almost twenty tracks of Red Dead music, along with a case full of original art and recording information, all for $9.99. But if you want the ultimate version of the soundtrack, you better hold your horses -- Rockstar says a "very limited red-vinyl LP release" is coming out next month. Real cowboys, we all know, don't do digital.

If Halo Waypoint, Halo Legends, Halo: Reach and ... uhh ... Halo: The Aquarium weren't enough for your Halofied brain to soak in during the early parts of 2010, Sumthing Else Music today announced plans to release the Halo Legends original soundtrack at brick-and-mortar outlets and online starting on February 9. The disc comes packed with original music from composers Tetsuya Takahashi and Yasuharu Takanashi that was, as you might imagine, featured in the various Halo Legends episodes that premiered over the last few weeks on Xbox Live. We imagine that the hardcore Halo fans among you are already lining up for the impending February release, $16 at the ready -- may we suggest the kickin' jams from Halo 3: ODST to aid in your wait? Would that be too weird? %Gallery-68583%

Whatever qualms you may have with Silent Hill: Homecoming, which probably ranges from the awkward combat system to the absence of Team Silent, one thing that's undeniable is the quality of the soundtrack. Akira Yamaoka delivers yet another broodingly morose soundtrack that critics and fans alike have applauded since the first game. Those of you who ordered the game with Amazon were treated to 3 bonus tracks -- but now you can download them for free, even if you've never touched a Silent Hill game -- right here. The three tracks included are The Sacred Line, Witchcraft and Cold Blood. We are pretty sure that's frequent collaborator Mary Elizabeth McGlynn's vocals on The Sacred Line, but you can be the judge for yourself after you listen to the track.[Thanks, anonymous!]
