Pixel Force Head-2-Head: Every fighting game vs every other fighting game
Once again, retro-inspired game developer Eric Ruth is throwing litigatory caution to the wind for a new Pixel Force project due out this summer. This time, it's Head-2-Head, an 8-bit brawler featuring 30 characters from every fighting game ever. Check out a trailer for the uber-fighter below!
'Pixel Force: Halo' now available as free download
If, upon seeing the Pixel Force: Halo trailer last month, you were instantly filled with a desire to play Eric Ruth's latest 8-bit demake, then congratulations: You're a human being with a real-life heart beating inside of your chest. 'Pixel Force: Halo' trailer shows combat devolved
Eric Ruth, the de-make whiz responsible for the 8-bit-inspired Pixel Force: DJ Hero, has given the original Halo: Combat Evolved a retro makeover. The result is a side-scrolling shooter slash top-down Warthog driving game you'll be able to play yourself next month (until Microsoft pulls it).
8-bit DJ Hero remake available now; Ray Parker, Jr. never sounded so good (video)
How would you describe Eric Ruth's 8-bit Pixel Force: DJ Hero game? A clever remake? An artifact from a fictional past? Whatever it is, we're pretty bummed that it's taken this long for mankind to get to the point where we can mix chiptune versions of songs by Madonna, Michael Jackson, INXS, and a ton more -- all the while scoring points and watching a little pixelated guy rock the wheels of steel. What are you waiting for? Fire up that PC, hit the source link to download your copy, and see all productivity cease -- just like it has here at Engadget HQ. Video after the break.
8-bit Left 4 Dead now available
You've salivated over its pixelized undead for long enough, the day has finally come when you can play the retro, 8-bit version of Left 4 Dead that we first told you about in November. The free game is now branded Pixel Force: Left 4 Dead and is apparently the launching pad for a whole Pixel Force franchise forthcoming from creator Eric Ruth. You can feast your fingers on the two-player co-op action right here. [Via Blue's News]
