In honor of Independence Day, next week's Rock Band DLC features a band with "All-American" in the name! And ... some other stuff that makes that seem more like a coincidence than an Independence Day observation!
Rock Band Weekly: Carrie Underwood
Karaoke nights may start with the heartbroken ballads of Adele, but once the Chablis flows like the Seine, it's time for Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats" to enter rotation. Next week's Rock Band DLC includes three feisty tracks from the country artist.
Rock Band Weekly: Angels & Airwaves, Owl City, Queens of the Stone Age
This week brought only a single song to Rock Band, Incubus's "Drive." Next week, Harmonix takes the opposite approach, with a random grab bag of tracks from three different bands. You're statistically more likely to find something you like there!

Rock Band Weekly: Bullet For My Valentine
A "Bullet For My Valentine" may sound like a really terrible gift for anyone that doesn't collect antique minié balls, but it's actually the name of next week's featured band over in Rock Band DLC world. The aptly named "Bullet For My Valentine Pack 01" features three songs spanning three albums, including 2008's Scream Aim Fire, which we're not entirely sure is an accurate or trustworthy set of instructions for properly operating a firearm. Remember kids, always consult your physician before taking advice from Welch heavy metal bands.
Rock Band Weekly: Iron Maiden
The "Maiden Epics" pack of Iron Maiden tunes coming to Rock Band next week has things that sound like they wouldn't be metal, but are, in fact, totally metal.Like "Rime of the Ancient Mariner." Sounds like some old epic poem, right? Well, it is epic in that sense, as well as in the sense of being thirteen minutes long.
Rock Band Weekly: Paramore
Paramore's "Brand New Eyes" album may not be so brand new anymore, but Rock Band Weekly is tapping it this week for a three-pack from the operatic rock band.

Rock Band Weekly: Evanescence
Time to get those goth-rock glamour gowns out of storage, because next week's Rock Band DLC features the emotional tunes of Evanescence. Vocalists should be prepared to warm up at least 15-20 minutes before attempting any type of Amy Lee belting.
Rock Band Weekly: Men At Work, Santana
Next week's Rock Band DLC tracks come from a land down under. So, go ahead and make yourself a Vegemite sandwich and play Men At Work's classic tracks: "Down Under" and "Overkill." You also get Santana's "Smooth"... you know, the one with Matchbox 20's Rob Thomas.
Harmonix has 'no plans to stop' weekly Rock Band DLC releases
Rock Band Weekly has been in our lives for over four years and the beat will go on. Harmonix told us at GDC 2012 that it has no plans on stopping the weekly release of downloadable tracks for the Rock Band platform."We've been really pleased with the continued performance of Rock Band downloadable content. We've delivered over four years of weekly DLC and over 3500 songs for the music platform, and we have no plans to stop weekly releases any time soon," Harmonix emcee of communications John Drake told Joystiq. "Fans can tell us what songs they want by visiting our new Rock Band Dashboard Facebook App and voting for their favorite artists using the built-in Wishlist feature."Harmonix has no intentions of launching Rock Band 4 this year. The company is currently working on several projects, which can be derived from job postings on the developer's site, including some kind of downloadable title.
Rock Band Weekly: Everclear, Good Charlotte, Mastodon
Next week's Rock Band DLC tracks are thematically about as disparate as it gets. Featuring songs from rock band Everclear, metal band Mastodon and... um, whatever Good Charlotte was. Pop alternative rock? Anyway, they'll all be available next week.
Rock Band Weekly: Huey Lewis and the News
There are few bands who encapsulate the '80s sound quite like Huey Lewis and the News. Not only were they the inspiration for a terrifying American Psycho monologue, but the band is also known to break into your home and sing to you while you're sleeping.
