HTC Radiant tipped for AT&T: don't call it an LTE-enabled Titan
...But really, that's exactly what it is. An admittedly dodgy image has emerged today showcasing what appears to be a gently massaged HTC Titan, but if rumors are to be believed, this guy will actually be called Radiant. It's bruited that this AT&T-bound model will offer the latest build of Windows Phone 7 and ship with an LTE radio within, and if the name's ringing a bell -- you aren't entirely crazy. Radiant was trademarked back in April of 2011, and if we had to guess, we'd say you'll be hearing more at CES (or worst-case, Mobile World Congress in February). Hopefully we'll get something a bit more exciting than a relocated dual-LED flash and another device name we'll never remember.
Acer and Lenovo reportedly eying Windows 8-based tablet launches in Q3 2012
Per usual, we'd highly recommend ingesting this one with a mouthful of salt, but DigiTimes has it that both Acer and Lenovo will be revitalizing tablet PC plans in the latter half of 2012... using Windows 8. Of course, the storyline here isn't as far-fetched as some; Nokia itself is rumored to launch a Win 8-based slate as early as June, while Microsoft could very well out its own branded alternative in Q3 or Q4. According to 'sources from the upstream supply chain,' Intel's Clover Trail platform will be used for both Acer and Lenovo's wares, but those expecting either to take a serious chunk out of the iPad's kingdom will likely be disappointed. Smartly, we're led to believe that these slates will be primarily aimed at enterprise customers, as more and more tablet makers concede the market to the established player(s). Not like Windows 7 tablets ever had much traction outside of that realm, anyway...
Apple gearing up for 'media-related announcement' later this month?
Leave it to Apple to completely avoid CES, yet be one of the largest stories surrounding its dates. Much like last year's invite to what would eventually be the introduction of Verizon's iPhone 4, All Things D has it on good authority that the folks in Cupertino are spending their first hours back on the job planning a "media-related announcement" for later this month. Contrary to earlier beliefs, we're told by All Things D that this particular event won't be related to the next-gen iPad, and it's also "unlikely" to be connected to a "large-scale rethinking of its interactive television initiative." So, knowing what it won't entail... what will be talked about? According to unnamed sources, Apple SVP of Internet Software and Services Eddy Cue is reportedly involved. For those unaware, Cue is responsible for a sizable chunk of Apple's media units, not the least of which include the App Store, iBookstore, iTunes Store and iCloud. Sadly, details outside of that are few and far betwixt, but you can bet we'll be keeping an ear to the ground for more -- even if it's smack-dab in the middle of a Sony CES keynote. Cough. Update: TechCrunch is reporting that it'll focus on the publishing sector, with no new hardware whatsoever on tap. Update 2: Clayton Morris has chimed in and confirmed that it'll be related to iTunes.
7-inch ASUS Eee Memo Pad gets leaked, 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon inside
The ASUS news, it just keeps on flowin'. Shortly after getting a sneak peek at the Eee PC Flare, in flies yet another leaked image of yet another leaked ASUS product. This go 'round, we're looking at what's purportedly the 7-inch Eee Memo Pad, a handy little fellow that we've actually heard about before. We're told that it'll ship with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 16GB to 64GB of internal storage space, built-in 3G, WiFi and a 1,280 x 800 screen resolution, and it's apt to be revisited at CES 2012 before launching as an Asia-only product later in the year. It's hard to say what edition of Android will pop up when this is formally unveiled next week at CES, but we're guessing that it'll stick its tongue out at the long-awaited Padfone as it's introduced, regardless.
ASUS Eee PC Flare leaked ahead of CES, AMD and Intel models promised
Choosing is hard. And in the case of ASUS' forthcoming netbook line, totally not necessary. Just days after Intel snuck out details surrounding the next generation of its Atom line, out flows shots and information about what'll undoubtedly be one of the first next-gen netbooks to use 'em. The Eee PC Flare line is expected to supplant the long-standing Seashell range at this year's Consumer Electronics Show, with a smattering of models to be lining ASUS' booth. Outside of lively, sleeker exteriors, we're told to expect models with the new N2600 and N2800 Atom CPU line, a 12-incher powered by AMD's Fusion APU line and the token chiclet-style keyboard that we've all grown used to. It's also possible that we'll see revised 10-inchers alongside the big boys, with the 1225B, 1225C, 1025C and 1025CE named in particular. Naturally, we'll be bringing you more as we get it. Oh, and "netbooks are back, baby!"
BlackBerry Torch 9810 and 9860 may drop on Telus August 15th
First we hear rumors of new BlackBerry devices, followed by the official announcement last week. Now, we're treated to speculation of when these aforementioned smartphones will actually arrive. If the leaked screenshots you see above and below are genuine, we only have one more week until Canadian carrier Telus welcomes two members of RIM's fall lineup. This carries a lot more weight when considering the supposed launch date is just one day before Bell's rumored August 16th release, and factoring in evidence of the 9810's impending sale on Rogers. We're still awaiting pricing info for the two devices, and anticipate rumors of the Bold 9900 launch sometime soon. The likelihood of waiting long for more info is pretty low; given how Telus has spilled the beans on a few new devices lately, we wouldn't be surprised to see more of the same coming down the pipeline soon.
Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet leaks out with Honeycomb, IPS screen, optional stylus and keyboard folio?
Remember the ultra-thin Lenovo ThinkPad X1 we detailed just a few hours ago? The document that dished those secrets also mentioned an "X Slate," which made us wonder if Lenovo's LePad was finally hitting the states... but This is my next seems to have stumbled across a grander piece of technology than that oft-delayed slate. According to a presumably leaked company presentation, Lenovo's planning to release an Android 3.0 tablet this July with a giant raft of specs -- a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 IPS capacitive multitouch panel, a Tegra 2 processor, up to 64GB of storage, front and rear cameras, a full-size USB 2.0 port, mini-HDMI out, a genuine SD card reader and up to 8 hours of purported battery life in a package about 14mm thick and weighing 1.6 pounds. What's more, it will reportedly have an optional dual-digitizer with "true pen support" and an optional keyboard case, possibly aping ASUS's recent Slate and Transformer tablet input mechanisms by allowing for both simultaneously. There's also apparently plenty of software support for the business-minded, including IT integration as well as anti-theft and remote wipe options, and all this will apparently start at the competitive price of $499 -- assuming these documents are legitimate and still valid. You see, they look a little preliminary for a slate supposedly sampling in just a couple of months, and there are contradictions here and there, such as the mention of a 1080p display in one slide, and some watermarks from 2009 in others. Still, Lenovo, if you're indeed producing a tablet today, we're liking its proposed specs -- don't suppose we can get a Tegra T25 chip while you're at it? Next-generation iPod touch and nano accessories and rumors continue to surface
We're but a few days away from Apple's music-related "special event," and naturally the bloody rumors are being tossed into the water, frothing up into quite a feeding frenzy. Last week came talk of new iPod touch and nano models, and now we have even more cases and accessories that seem to back up the belief that there's a fourth-generation touch and a sixth-generation nano coming. The nano is rumored to have a 3 x 3cm touchscreen (presumably this one) and room on the bottom for a proper dock connector, ensuring compatibility with the millions of iPod cradles and whatnot out there. The new cases we're seeing certainly back up that idea, with a dock-sized cut-out along with room for what's said to be a headphone jack, volume controls, a hold button, and a clip 'round the back. At the moment we know rather less about the new touch, but we can hazard a guess as to what it'll look like. [Thanks, Hobbsy101]
Hulu Plus subscription service rumored: $9.95 a month for access to older shows
We had a sinking feeling from day one that this so-called "evil plot to destroy the world" was really just an evil plot to eventually invade our wallets, and unfortunately for the freeloaders in attendance, it's looking all the more likely that at least some portion of Hulu won't be free for much longer. We heard back in January that bigwigs surrounding the streaming service were tossing around various pay-for-access schemes, and now the LA Times has it that a bona fide subscription service could go into effect as early as May 24th. Under the terms, which were disclosed by those oh-so-knowledgeable "people familiar with the matter," viewers would be asked to pay $9.95 per month for access to episodes that weren't brand new. We're told that Hulu would continue to provide the five most recent episodes of hit shows for free, but a Hulu Plus pass would be required to view shows older than that. Not surprisingly, Hulu failed to comment on the allegations, but it's safe to say we'll know exactly how legitimate the claims are in just over a month.
More iPad games revealed
It looks like the crafty folks over at MacRumors have figured out how to snake their way into the not-yet-public listing for top revenue iPad apps. Now, we've got a flood of information coming out about software for the device that's not coming out for another week or so. As you can see above, quite a few rumored and revealed games are already charting on the iPad store, and it looks like prices are running from $3.99 to $9.99. "HD" appeared to be the preferred nomenclature for iPad games yesterday, but "for iPad" is in there as well. It also looks like Enigmo for the iPhone will be Enigmo Deluxe on the iPad. MacRumors says that some of the "released" dates on this listing go back as far as March 19th, which is presumably when Apple started approving iPad apps. We've spoken to some of the developers whose games were revealed, and they are not very happy with the leaks. A few other details are showing up, presumably from App Store descriptions linked off of this top revenue list, but we've confirmed with at least one developer above that all of those details are still pending and not yet confirmed. It's no surprise that Apple wanted to be on top of getting apps out on the iPad store before the device's launch, but they've inadvertently revealed some of their developers' hands prematurely. Update: 9 to 5 Mac has a full list of the App Store chart. It's not yet clear where all of these shots are coming from, but it seems like they're being taken in the dev kit's iPad simulator, which is supposedly still under developer NDA.
LG's rumored roadmap for AT&T
We're hearing about a bevy of new handsets from LG that should -- by should, we mean it is rumored -- be landing at a store near you between now and the end of year. First up, LG's CU575 "Trax" -- that we've been hearing about for a while now -- may have finally found a solid date with AT&T, look for it to arrive around about August 17th. The LG CU400 is getting refreshed with the LG CU515, an all-black 3G handset that looks like a cross between the CU400 and CU500, expected September. Also rolling out is the CU720 or Shine a 3G slider with a 2 megapixel camera in September -- we've been waiting on this for some time, thanks AT&T. Of course, we've saved the sassiest tidbit for last, the MediaFLO-enabled LG CU920 or Prada will also debut this year from AT&T, but this guy will show in early December. We look forward to the angry head to head competition from the touch screen (almost) twins. Of course, don't shake angry fists at us if some of this doesn't come true, rumors have a way of changing with time.[Thanks, Superman]

Our friendly anonymous source at Microsoft has provided us with a few more details concerning the 360 accessories announced back at E3.Perhaps the most important involves the bundling of the Xbox Live Vision camera with a wired headset, the popular Live Arcade title UNO, and a month of Live Gold service for $39.99 when it releases in the States on September 19, 2006.Granted, this is still an unofficial report (based on a leak of "official" info), so understand that you're probably not gonna get much confirmation from MS until they're good and ready to give it.
