These latest pages of V-Jump on NiGHTS are really gorgeous ... but that's easy to pull off when most of the screens are captures from the opening video. But even the gameplay shots in these scans are lush and attractive. The game is getting closer all the time, and we can't help but wonder if opinions are still as split as they were back in April.

Every time I see new screens, scans or videos of Silent Hill 5, I fall in love all over again. This game just looks so damn good, and if you want more proof, take a look at these new scans from Playzone magazine. While Playzone doesn't give us any real new information about Konami's popular survival horror title, I'm sure some of you will be pleased just to see more scantily clad nurses. When you're finished drooling over these new screens, be sure to cast your vote for Silent Hill 5 in this week's Poll Police!

Alright, Mistwalker. We've seen the scans, and even these beautiful portraits of mages, thieves and more can't tempt us from our real desire. We want video on Archaic Sealed Heat. We want website updates. We want more! But at this rate, with the game less than two months away, we may not get much more than we already have -- and that makes us very sad. We need more opportunities to express our need for this game (and to make sure we do need it) so that someone starts localizing it. The sooner the better, we say. In the meantime, we'll just have to make due with the latest from Famitsu. Hit the jump to check it out.

We don't even know where to start with these latest Famitsu scans, other than to say that they look great, and no release date for the DS take on Final Fantasy IV can possibly come soon enough. From the crazy character art to the gorgeous screens, this title looks singularly fantastic. Oh, Square Enix. Even when we want to be a little irked by this remake, since we just got another FFIV not long ago, we can't -- because you know how to massage the DS engine.Hit the jump for the scans -- it's worth the journey, if only for the outrageous take on Cecil and Kain, which looks like it was created by the bastard child of Frank Frazetta and six random dudes at Marvel. It is, uh, different. The screens, however, are undoubtedly fantastic.

  • Hudson Soft throws their cap into the minigames ring

Hudson Soft recently announced Deca Sports, a minigame collection with -- obviously -- ten different game types that actually look pretty interesting. The game, which is set to come out this year, was revealed in Japanese magazine V-Jump and appears to include tennis, archery, volleyball, go karts, basketball, and more. As far as sports collections go, Deca Sports actually looks pretty ambitious, and the scanned screenshots are easy on the eyes. Check 'em out for yourself after the break. Looks like EA Playground is going to have a little competition! Frankly, we may have to come down on the side of archery, but controls and content will certainly be a factor for each. We can't wait to see more.

They must be hungry for details on the Dragon Quest IV remake over at Jeux France -- they took scans from a few weeks ago and blew up the screenshots within to get a peek at the look of the title. Since we also yearn to see how things will look (and for an English translation of the game!), we thought we might share them with you. Please note, however, that the scans are cut up; you'll have to slip back in time if you missed the full scans the first time around. But if it's grainy, oversized screens-from-scans that pique your interest, head over there and get your drool on.

If there's one thing we can complain about in Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, it's that we've only seen screens and video of the game during its sections involving the mansion from the first Resident Evil. Thanks to some new scans, however, we get some glimpses at the other segments that will make up the game. And, we're excited! The zombies look pretty good, if we may say so.Head past the break for the scans.

  • No More Heroes pages packed with images

For once, we don't even mind that the text is difficult, because these new scans from Famitsu have so many No More Heroes pictures that we're too distracted to be unhappy. This is one game we never get tired of looking at; the character models are awesomely twisted, the environment is full of dirty, yet colorful images, and the whole thing has a sinister-yet-cartoony feel. We can barely tear our eyes away. We can't wait to get in there and start swinging our not-lightsaber. To check out the full scans, take a peek past the break, and get to clicking for the high-res versions.

We knew that it would be a while after Mistwalker's late 2005 announcement before we'd see Archaic Sealed Heat's release, but with little-to-no new media on the SRPG since its unveiling and half of 2007 gone by without word on its status, it was hard to convince ourselves that the game still existed.Shonen Jump's latest issue confirms that, yes, ASH is still being worked on for a holiday 2007 release, and that the graphics look just as impressive as ever. Check past the post break for the scanned magazine page to see a sampling of the ASH's artwork, CG cutscenes, and screenshots!

  • NiGHTS: Magazine Scan of Dreams

A new scan of NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams has appeared, thanks to NeoGAF's tireless neo2046. It mostly contains too-small images of NiGHTS flying around, which-- thankfully-- look great. There's some kind of ... peacock creature, maybe? The page highlights NiGHTS' new human counterpart, Helen Cartwright, a young violinist. We assume that, like the previous game's children, she experiences performance anxiety and seeks solace in her dreams. Whatever the motivation, she frees NiGHTS so we can start playing the real game. And for that we must thank the frilly-jacketed, fictional child. The full page is after the break!

Game Informer gets the scoop on GTAIV in the May issue (not on "newsstands" yet), getting a peek at the Xbox 360 work-in-progress running on a debug unit. So, what's new besides what we saw in the trailer? Lots. Setting: re-created Liberty City (better mirrors real-world NYC; smaller "geographical mass" than San Andreas, but more densely populated) MetLife building = "Getalife" Statue of Liberty = "Statue of Happiness" DUMBO = "BOABO" (Beneath the Offramp of the Algonquin Bridge Overpass Area includes an adaptation of four of NYC's boroughs (no love for Staten Island), and a section of Jersey: Manhattan = "Algonquin" (The Lenape did speak an Algonquin language from which our word "Manhattan" is derived) Brooklyn = "Broker" Queens = "Dukes" (a duke ranks just below a prince) Bronx = "Bohan" New Jersey = "Alderney" (also named for one of the British Channel Islands -- or a breed of cattle) Main character: Niko Bellic; "Eastern European" ('cause who really keeps track of the countries over there?) Lured to Liberty by cousin Roman's suspicious emails (Roman claims to be living the America Dream: 2 women, 4 hot tubs, and 15 sports cars); Roman actually operates a rundown taxi depot in Broker and has gotten himself into a "load of trouble" NEWS FLASH: "Many of Niko's activities revolve around being a criminal"

Over at Xboxygen you can check out some new Blue Dragon scans. Of course it's in Japanese and of course there isn't the littlest hint to what the heck the article is about, but there are some nice screenshots and beautiful artwork on the pages. Heck, it's Blue Dragon just enjoy the pretty pictures already.

Remember those recent Itadaki Street scans? Dedicated Nintendo fan and amazing translator CTU Kyoto has put them all into English for your reading pleasure. Now you can read all about the Volcano of Death and Jessica's "charming assets" without flipping back and forth through a kanji reference until you give up and toss it angrily through a window. Maybe that last one was just us. Enjoy the updated scans, and thanks again, CTU Kyoto! Having some idea of the information packed into these sets gets us charged up over the game. Too bad it's not finished ... we're ready to throw down over WiFi.

Do we have any armchair translators in the house? Jeux France had two big, beautiful scans for the upcoming Itadaki Street DS, and we're all dying for a little more info than what we have right now, particularly in regard to the multiplayer aspects. While we'll miss the Final Fantasy crew, we're looking forward to the blend of Mario and DQ. Full scans are included after the jump, but for the big versions, you'll probably need to hit up the source.

A few days ago, we so kindly let you know that the popular RPG Atelier Iris has decided to make an appearance on Nintendo DS. Now we are here to tell you that the site for Atelier Iris DS is up. There are plenty of images to gaze at if you are the type of person who should have taken Japanese instead of Latin in high school (like us). You guys really need to read blogger David Hinkle's personal summary of the game. It's classic and it makes us crave pancakes. You can find it here:
