Don't forget, tonight we are hosting another Server Maintenance Party on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE). I will also be streaming the event on WoW.com's Justin.tv channel. Above is Robinella's message to all Alliance. Here are the details: When: Tuesday, Aug 17, 10:30 p.m. EDT (7:30 p.m. PDT, 8:30 p.m. realm time) to meet and greet. 11 p.m. EDT for the actual event and stream. Where: Meet at Light's Hope Chapel on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) How: Ask Robinella or any <It came from the Blog> guild member for an invite to the guild. Ranks of Blog Lurker or above can invite. What: We will be attempting to complete Bolstering Our Defenses, following a plan to be discussed in guild chat at the time of the event (in case Alliance spies are reading this). Who: Any level Horde character is invited to participate, but you will have more fun at level 58 or higher. Please read the rules and tips for the event before you join us. All non-funsuckers are welcome. For the Horde! Please join us on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) in <It came from the Blog>. Guild ranks of "Blog Lurker" or above can invite, so /whisper Robiness or any online member. You are all welcome as long as you play by our simple rules -- basically, don't be a funsucker! Visit the guild FAQ for more details.

More realms are undergoing 24-hour maintenance starting just after midnight tonight PDT, and therefore it is time for another server maintenance party. You voted for a PvP theme, so we will be defending the Eastern Plaguelands. I will also be streaming the event on our Justin.tv channel so that those who cannot participate can still watch. While any level who makes the trek to join us is welcome, I highly recommend making a death knight to participate if you don't have a high-level character already on Zangarmarsh. This is a PvP event, so there will be some Alliance resistance -- and that will be part of the fun. But even if we have awesomely diligent healers, they will not be able to save low-levels from being one-shot. The event starts late enough in the evening tomorrow so that most people will have enough time to make a DK. More tips and rules are after the break.

For Gnomeregan! is where the members of <B.L.O.G.> on Shadow Council (US-RP-A) roleplay guild meetings as part of an in-blog and in-game RP campaign. The rules for this campaign are: no ERP (Erotic RolePlay) and no vampires (though death knights are welcome). Everyone is invited to participate. Assume that to get into the guild, you at least pretended to be in full use of your faculties and are willing to fight for the cause. You are all welcome to join us here in the comments and those who wish to play with us in-game should friend Peenk and ask for an invite on Shadow Council (US-RP-A). Thank you for coming to this emergency meeting. Our representative with Operation Gnomeregan has contacted me with the news that many new refugees are about to arrive at Coldridge Valley. They have requested that we accommodate them by incorporating the refugees into our guild and feeding them. Hands Springsprocket has also contacted me. It seems that he needs to get a large number of supplies to Thunderbrew Distillery. So we are not only going to allow these refugees to join us, we are going to put them to work. And then we'll sit down and have a party, to relax and welcome our new members. I know this is short notice, but we must mobilize! Meet at the Coldridge Pass in Coldridge Valley at 9 p.m. on Tuesday. I will give further instructions at that time. ((Full details in non-RP format are after the break.))

Previous to last Tuesday night, the most people showing up for an <It came from the Blog> event was about 250 (estimated), and usually no more than 100 showed up. I have no idea how many people showed up to the Server Maintenance Party, but it was in the hundreds. Multiple hundreds. Lots and lots of people showed up to steal the Alliance fires. Soooo many. You raid leaders think it's hard to herd 25 cats? Try several hundred. I'm still a bit in shock. Also, as you can see/hear above, I streamed the event. I like Ustream for streaming, but there is an audio delay in my ear that is a bit bothersome. This is why it sounds like I'm having a stroke at the beginning. I'm not. I just hadn't gotten into the swing of ignoring the delay yet. My brain is fine. Mostly. It also only recorded the first 20 minutes. Boo! Some event highlights and a gallery are after the break.

So your server will be down for a whole day (and probably then some) this Tuesday? Zangarmarsh (US-PvE) isn't. No, we're not taunting you. We're inviting you to join us for a server maintenance party. Our activity Tuesday night will be the stealing of fires in the Alliance capitals, to continue our Midsummer Fire Festival themed events. This will be an all-levels event. So go ahead and create a level 1 to join us, if you don't already have a Horde character on Zangarmarsh. If you do, please bring your highest level character to make this go more smoothly. Here are the particulars: When: Tuesday, June 29 at 10:15 p.m. EDT (7:15 p.m. PDT, 8:15 p.m. realm time) Where: Meet at Splintertree Post in Ashenvale on Zangarmarsh (US-PvE-H) Who: Your highest Horde character, even if that means level 1 What: Hopefully, a Thief's Reward hat for all How: Ask Robinator or any <It came from the Blog> guildie to join the guild; ranks of Lurker or higher can invite. We will be gathering at Splintertree Post at 10:15 p.m., but will be leaving right at 10:30 p.m. Summons are for sissies, so log on early to make sure you're there on time. There will be deaths -- many, many deaths. In the interest of time and everyone's fun, just grab your bod and catch up. More details and some suggestions are after the break.
