The rough-and-tumble Street Fighters enjoying their youth is likely the most adorable thing we'll see all week. Kei Acedera, an illustrator and art director at Imaginism, has just such a drawing in her portfolio on the company's website. If you click the image above, you'll be treated to the full work, which also includes the rest of the Super Street Fighter II Turbo cast cheering in the background (Dhalsim's long arms were a nice touch).Acedera's work includes illustrating books for Harper Collins and design work for Disney and Sony. Her bio also states she makes t-shirts for her guinea pig, Tobi. We wonder if she puts little pants on Tobi and dyes him so he looks like the little Blanka in the picture ...[Via ThreeSpeech]

By now you probably know that we're pretty excited about Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. We've pored over every morsel that Capcom has doled out and we're always ready for more. Well, today is no different. The Capcom Digital blog has uploaded more images of the upcoming game (in addition to confirming that Puzzle Fighter is coming next month). The new images detail the steps that go into recreating each original sprite in high definition. Illustrated in the image above, we can see each step. Starting on the left and moving to the right, artists first take the original sprite for reference, then block out the basic shapes in the darkest colors. Next, they add details and some shading. Finally, they add the final details and BAM! you've got an HD sprite. Check out the gallery below for high resolution images of all 4 steps.%Gallery-3974%

The new Capcom Digital blog -- which exclusively covers Capcom's downloadable titles -- is open for business, and they've added yet another HD sprite from Super Street Fighter II HD Remix for Xbox Live Arcade. This time we get a look at Akuma (last week we got a peek at Ken). As an added bonus, they've included his original sprite for reference. The blog contains a brief article about the genesis of SSFIITHDR, which notes that the game's name is intentionally long and intended as a joke for long time Street Fighter fans. You can read the article by clicking the "read" link. See more images of HD Akuma after the break.

The image you see above, ladies and gents, is a sprite from the upcoming Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix for Xbox Live Arcade. In fact, it's actually a little smaller than it should be thanks to our formatting. Now, we've seen a sprite from (deep breath) SFIITHDR before, but this is the first official image released by Capcom. As Capcom's Brian Dunn puts it, "this is what it will look like (if you paused the game and took out the background)." Damn. If you like what you see, then you're in luck, as Capcom will soon be opening a blog that will feature new art, news, and other goodies about their upcoming downloadable games. For those of you that have forgotten, those games include SFIITHDR and Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (easily abbreviated SPFIITHDR), Rocketman: Axis of Evil (RAoE) and Talisman (T).If Capcom's other downloadable games are going to look this good, you can count us excited.[Thanks, Jared]
