Slipknot arrives in a four-pack of DLC for Rock Band next week. The band, with songs like "Pulse of the Maggots" and "Wait and Bleed," is a little disturbing to look at. So, here's an adorable Shar-Pei eating toilet paper! Track details, pricing after the break. [Image from Istvan Csak / Shutterstock]

Nope, we absolutely could not help ourselves -- sure, we might be writing about how Rise Against and Queens of the Stone Age (as well as Slipknot and the Backyard Babies) will be adding tracks to Techland's upcoming off-road racer Nail'd, but that headline was right there, just staring us in the face! And though music from the aforementioned groups isn't scientifically proven to inspire racing precision in gamers, publisher Deep Silver believes the soundtrack will "fuel their adrenaline to the absolute limit." And what if players want to push it past the "absolute limit?" Glad you asked -- Deep Silver has teased another soundtrack reveal to be made in the near future, saying the announcement will inform us about music "created especially for the game by an all-star group of rock luminaries." Our best guess? Ratt. It's clearly Ratt.

Harmonix and MTV Games are dropping a couple of classic Simon & Garfunkel tracks alongside the first Slipknot track pack this coming week as DLC, appealing to that very specific crossover niche of people who like 30-year-old folk music yet like to go blackout partying on the weekends. Take out your terrifying masks and acoustic guitars, folks. It's going to be a weird one. Check out all the tracks for the upcoming week after the break. Officially licensed merchandise for twelve bands can be found at the new Rock Vault in Second Life. Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, Funeral for a Friend, HIM, Kings of Leon, The Ramones, Trivium, Iron Maiden, Bullet for my Valentine, Nickelback, Stone Sour, and Cradle of Filth are the bands represented, though not every one of them has inworld shirts to buy. Whether there are inworld shirts or not (the price for all of them seems to be about L$150) each kiosk links to an online merchandise site where you can order the physical article. Don't go to to sleep quite yet, though. There's something much more interesting about this place than just selling tee-shirts -- thank heavens!
