Fashion-forward fighters, take note: Street Fighter III: Third Strike Online Edition's Color Pack DLC has been removed from the Xbox Live Marketplace following a statement issued by Capcom, stating that the Color Pack contains "incorrect files," and that a Color Pack containing correct files is being constructed. If you purchased the DLC before it was removed from the Marketplace, tell Capcom about it here by clicking the "Ask a Question" button and selecting "General" or "Tech Support - General" from the category drop-downs. As soon as the updated DLC is back on Live, you'll receive an email containing a code to re-download your snazzy new digs. Just don't forget to delete your old new digs before downloading your new new digs.

Though Microsoft didn't deign to mention Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online at its E3 press conference, Capcom released a new trailer for the XBLA title anyway. This is, in fact, the first time we've seen this version of the game, ever, even though it was announced a year ago. The video shows what pretty much looks like Street Fighter III: Third Strike ... but the trailer reveals features like GGPO online and YouTube sharing. There's also a lot of footage of people being thrown.

Though it's been a while since we've heard anything about Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, Capcom has apparently been hard at work on the downloadable fighter. During a streamed "Ask Capcom" event, Capcom's Christian Svensson revealed that we'll be "deluged with information in about four weeks," putting the timeline around E3. Svensson went on to classify 3rd Strike Online as "the highest budget digital title we've done" at Capcom USA, even exceeding the budget of Super Street Fighter II HD Remix, which had completely redrawn graphics by Udon Entertainment. That suggests that Capcom is putting a lot of effort into this game -- and also that Udon worked super, super cheap. Capcom fighting game guru Seth Killian said that this update was "one of those things you sorta have hopes for and you hope it's gonna turn out a certain way ... and then it did." Sounds like this will be the definitive version of the game about fighting super-powered underwear guys.

Capcom producer for all things Street Fighter, Yoshinori Ono, dropped a bomb on all of us this weekend when he revealed Capcom's intent to re-release Street Fighter 3: 3rd Strike. We hypothesized that the game would be distributed digitally -- think: the recently re-released Marvel vs. Capcom 2 -- and Capcom confirmed to Eurogamer that the game is indeed a "downloadable title." No specific platforms were mentioned for the upcoming adaptation, though Xbox Live and PSN are likely safe bets right now. We'll keep you posted as we find out more.

[Fighters Generation] Capcom didn't just announce two Street Fighter games in yesterday's Comic-Con panel -- that would hardly have been worth holding a panel. Producer Yoshinori Ono also announced that the company is working on Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, an updated re-release of the 1999 arcade/Dreamcast game. It's "not going to come out in the immediate future," Ono told the crowds already daydreaming about online Q matches, "but just let everyone know that Street Fighter 3 is coming back." He didn't have any more details, simply directing suggestions to Capcom-Unity. It seems relatively safe to assume that an online-focused fighting game is being considered at least for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, probably as a digital release like Marvel vs. Capcom 2.
