There's a wide selection of downloads available on Wii and DSi this week -- including stuff that people might have heard of before and/or be interested in! Two days after its reveal, the new Blaster Master game is available on WiiWare, along with Hudson's Princess Tomato, a somewhat forgotten NES oddity. And DSiWare has the iPhone hit Fieldrunners and a new puzzle game by Intelligent Systems. Read about all ten (!) new games after the break. %Gallery-84941%

A bit of a news roundup from the ESRB today. First off, the ratings board revealed a collection of Data East arcade games for Wii, called Data East Arcade Classics, containing Bad Dudes vs. Dragon Ninja (!), Burger Time, Caveman Ninja, Street Slam, Secret Agent, Magical Drop III, and more, published by Majesco. It would appear that Data East (or G-mode, the company that holds the rights to Data East's games) doesn't feel like charging 8 bucks for each game on the Virtual Console Arcade.Other surprises include Crash 'N The Boyz: Street Challenge (which was known as Crash 'N The Boys: Street Challenge on the NES), the Kunio (River City Ransom) sports game, and Tomena Sanner, the intriguingly quirky-looking one-button WiiWare running game from Konami! • VC/WiiWare Tuesday: An impossibly large update

This week is certainly the largest single update the Japanese Wii Shop has had since the launch of the Virtual Console back in December of 2006. It's also, sadly, a feat that probably won't be repeated, given the recent decline in selection. But let's not talk about declines when we've got such an incredible increase this month! Four games on Virtual Console -- and good ones, too, like Final Fantasy IV and Pac-Mania, would be remarkable enough, but they are joined by no fewer than nine on WiiWare. The WiiWare selection includes genuinely interesting content like Bit.Trip: CORE, the one-button Tomenasanner Wii (seen above), and the three Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games; plus genuinely forgettable content like Sandy Beach, and wild cards like dolphin-training game Sea Farm, Derby Dog, which is, yes, a game about racing different varieties of dog, and a brain training game with its most notable feature being that its title translates to "Make your Square Brain Round."The complete release listings are posted after the break.

  • Konami brings sand, salary men to WiiWare in Japan

According to andriasang.com, Konami is bringing two "new" WiiWare games to Japan. We say "new" because one of them, Beach de O-shiro wo Tsukuccha Wow!, is obviously Sandy Beach, which was already released in North America. Sandy Beach, if you've forgotten, was pretty awful. So, um, have fun with that one, Japan. The other one, though, Tomenasanner Wii, looks to be a new title. The game stars a business man who must navigate various obstacles by pressing the A button. And, apparently, that's all you do. The entertainment, it seems, is derived from the timing required and from the variety of actions that the game's character, Mr. Susumu, can perform. Dancing, slam dunks, dinosaur riding, all just part of a normal day for Mr. Susumu. Tomenasanner is based on a series of mobile phone games by the same name. We looked it up on YouTube and ... it's weird. See it after the break.
