Try not to succumb to that waft of staleness overpowering your senses right now. That's just the latest addition to Toshiba's once proud gigabeat series of DAPs you smell. The newest U-series models include the 1GB U104, 2GB U205, and 2GB U206. Besides sporting a set of cross-hair controls, the U206 bests the U104 by stuffing an FM transmitter and tuner into the player along with a pair of canal-type buds. The U205 shares the controls of the U104 with the specs of the U206. Prices will start at ¥9,980 ($87) before topping out at ¥14,800 ($129) when they pop for retail on the 9th. [Via Impress]

Well, well, well, if it isn't Toshiba Tuesday. Yes, we've got a ton of new laptops to tell you about, so let's get started. First up are updates to the U205 "ultra-portable" line (pictured) -- the U205-S5034 (estimated at $1,300) sports a swanky 1.6 GHz Core 2 Duo T5200 proc, 1GB of RAM, a 100GB hard drive, whereas its older bro, the -S5044 (estimated at $1,600) comes with a 2.0 GHz Core 2 Duo T7200 chip, 2GB of RAM, and a 100GB hard drive. Both come with a double-layer DVD burner, WiFi, and the ever-popular biometric fingerprint reader. Next up is the latest model in Toshi's M115 line: the M115-S3144, which includes 2GB of RAM, a 120GB hard drive, a double layer DVD burner, WiFi, four USB ports, FireWire, a 5-in-1 card reader, VGA and S-Video out and should hit the streets for an estimated $1,250. Finally, Toshiba has new upgrades to the P105 line, which include the -S6134, -S6124, -S6114 and -S6104 models. The whole line packs the Merom love, a hefty 17-inch screen, dual-layer DVD burner, 4 USB ports, VGA and S-Video out, and FireWire. Individually the models differ in RAM configurations, hard drive capacities, and some even have USB TV tuners so you can watch the local news from your neighborhood-friendly WiFi café. As you might expect, prices similarly range from $1250 to $1550. Now all of this begs the question: Toshiba, can we expect the same from you on a future Tuesday?Read - U205Read - M115Read - P105

Toshiba just introduced another pair of Intel-powered notebooks to join the Epson and Alienware models we spotted earlier, both members of the Satellite series: the U205 ultra-portable (pictured) and the R25 convertible tablet (pictured after the break). Weighing in at 4.1 pounds, the 12.1-inch U205 (which is pretty similar to the U200) comes in either S5002 (Core Duo T2300E, 100GB hard drive) or S5022 (T2400, 120GB HDD) configurations, with both versions sporting 1GB of 533MHz DDR2 RAM, WXGA TruBrite TFTs, integrated graphics, dual-layer DVD burners, and Toshiba's LifeSmart Technology -- which includes a fingerprint reader, shock-absorbing components, and spill-resistant keyboard. Meanwhile, the 5.95-pound R25-S3503 also sports a Core Duo processor -- though only the 1.66GHz T2050 -- along with a 14.1-inch WXGA+ display, 100GB hard drive, and the same burner, graphics, memory configuration and LifeSmart swag as the U205. Both models are available immediately, with the S5022 and the tablet each going for $1,349, and the S5002 priced at $1,199.Read- U205Read- R25
