We must admit, we were curious about the state of the Marvelous/XSEED relationship when we found out that Ignition had grabbed the publishing rights for Muramasa: The Demon Blade. The two companies seem to be doing okay, though, because XSEED just announced that it will publish Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga for the Wii in North America this summer. Rising Star previously announced it will handle European publishing. This will be the first console entry for the formerly PSP-exclusive series, and adds two-player online coop to the series' action-RPG gameplay. Unlike the PSP games, this version lacks separate battle screens, with real-time battles taking place on the main world map. [Image via Inside-Games]

Last year, Rising Star Games announced European release plans for a ton of games, including Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, all wrapped in a vague "2009-2010" period. Rising Star just sent out a new list, featuring much more specific information. Eldar Saga, an action RPG with online co-op(!), will be released in Europe this November. Nobody has said anything about a North American release, but we wouldn't be surprised to see either Atlus or the even more obvious XSEED/Marvelous team to pick it up.Other European release dates of note: Steal Princess in May, Luminous Arc 2 in October, and, uh, an Angel Cat Sugar game in October.

Rising Star Games has announced European releases for another set of Marvelous Wii games shown at TGS. Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga, Marvelous's RPG, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, the superhot sidescroller from Vanillaware, and Image Epoch's Arc Rise Fantasia are all headed to Europe sometime in 2009-2010. They're joining a pile of upcoming DS, Wii, and PSP games including Rune Factory Frontier, Avalon Code, Luminous Arc 2, and of course No More Heroes: Desperate Struggle. Even if nobody else released any Wii games in Europe, it would seem that Rising Star Games would have you covered! %Gallery-33431%

The latest issue of Japanese gaming supermag, Famitsu, had a welcome surprise for fans of Nintendo's three-DVD-wide home console -- the announcement of Valhalla Knights: Eldar Saga for the Wii. Gamekyo originally posted scans of the article announcing the title, translating a few key features of the former PSP series' Wii-imagining -- chief among these being an online co-op mode using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. While the PSP version of Valhalla Knights received middling reviews, we remain, as ever, cautiously optimistic about any RPG offerings for the Wii -- though considering the game is about 70 percent complete and not due out in Japan until next year, it may be a while before we get our hands on it.
