Not to be outdone by Sony's experimental Future Lab hardware, Samsung is showing off a trio of projects from its C-Lab teams. The most intriguing of these three is definitely the Entrim 4D hardware. It looks like a basic pair of over-ear headphones, but they use electrical signals to trick your brain into feeling a sense of motion.

Seven years ago, we brought you the story of a waffle iron that shaped the tasty treats into a keyboard. Plenty of you saw it and wished that you could have one of your very own, and it turns out that good things do come to those who wait. Designer Chris Dimino has taken to Kickstarter to raise money for the production run of The Keyboard Waffle Iron. He's asking for $50,000 to get things moving, with a $60 contribution all you need to get one delivered to your door. Unfortunately, the units won't ship until April, but that should give you four months to get your batter mixing skills up to scratch. I mean, I dunno what more you need - it's a waffle iron in the shape of a keyboard, just go order one already.

A new Blizzard game is a reason for soundtrack lovers everywhere to celebrate because if there's one thing this studio does well (other than take goofy races very seriously), it's creating incredible scores for its games. Even though Hearthstone is a smaller title with a smaller score, I welcomed it nevertheless. Composers Peter McConnell, Jason Hayes, and Eric Dodds clearly had a lot of fun creating the whimsical, relaxing score for this game, and I must say that the music is perfectly ideal for the material. It hearkens back to the many tavern themes from World of Warcraft without being a complete copycat. You can actually download the entire soundtrack for free on the Hearthstone official site, but before you do that, why not listen to my favorite picks from the score?

Throughout much of the world, 3G is a welcome change from the surly slow-speed bonds of older wireless techs, but in South Korea, there's still a huge contingent of subscribers stubbornly hanging onto their 2G service for a simple reason: upgrading requires a number change. Anyone can relate to why changing phone numbers sucks so badly, so LG's actually using the 2G nature of its SV770 Waffle as a selling point -- well, that, and the waffle-esque backing, of course. The trendy slider will be available shortly in three shades -- white, black, and champagne gold -- and feature Bluetooth, FM radio, and an emergency siren in case someone tries to enjoy your Waffle a little too much rather than getting his or her own. Look for it to hit SK Telecom in the next couple weeks; now if you'll excuse us, we could really use some breakfast.

Every Thursday, we battle with many of you during the greatness that is Game Night. Most of the time, these festivities involve plenty of Tetris. Even though the game is almost two years old, its appeal never seems to fade.We never thought anything could add to the allure of Tetris, but that all changed when we saw it in waffle form. What can be better than playing Tetris? Obviously, eating it. The blocked texture of the waffles makes waffle Tetris perfect, and we just love playing with our food. The best part? Once you successfully make rows, you have to eat them to make them disappear. Yum![Via Technabob]

While it certainly looked about perfect to us, we know how picky engineering inventors can be, so it's not too surprising to see the folks behind the automatic waffle maker crank out a version 2.0. We can't be sure, but the video (shown after the jump) does seem to suggest that the newest iteration cooks up your breakfast without quite as much mess as the original, and the hardware behind the magic looks to have seen upgrades all around. Best of all, however, is the title splash screen that lets you know you're still looking at a beta creation, which ought to mean there's an even more sophisticated version around the bend. Bargain bin griddles, watch out.

While you may lobby that nothing's sweeter than an automated waffle maker, Chris Dimino just might counter that. This design guru has apparently concocted a retro inspired, and ever-so-slightly altered kitchen appliance that cooks waffle that are a bit wider and more familiar than usual. This piece of cookware sports an integrated stand for holding four jars of syrup, and the iron itself presses a nifty keyboard each and every time -- caps lock key and all. Of course, we don't expect retailers to start stocking these things anytime soon, but if you're serious about your words waffles-per-minute, we're sure Chris could make arrangements.

With all the flowers starting to bloom and bunny rabbits (stuffed or otherwise) beginning to emerge, we're sure it won't be long before you're busting out the Wham-o Peeps maker, but if you've been pondering a way to make those hearty breakfasts pop out a tad quicker, we've got just the thing. Apparently, a group of waffle-lovin' kiddos have concocted an automated machine that not only opens and closes on queue, cooks and unloads the finished waffle onto your plate, and closes back for easy cleanup, it even boasts a tiltable pail filled with waffle mix and a funnel so that filling the hot iron is no longer your (messy) responsibility. The project was crafted at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and looks to be constructed primarily of wood, strings, and pulleys, and while we certainly wouldn't recommend that novice DIYers try this unaided, be sure and hit the read link for a look at waffles made easy.
