WoW Moviewatch: We Will Rock You
Before Telemora went on to make his Warcraftmovies recommended The Luckiest, he created a little music video, We Will Rock You. He finished the film way back in March 2006, but it just reached over one million views on YouTube yesterday! The video is part music video, part battle, but all rock and roll.By today's standards, this might not be considered a spectacular machinima, but back then, it was chock full of special effects, color correction, and transitions, in a time when not so many were doing that. Telemora went on to be one of the higher ranked WCM contributors, however hasn't released anything since last year, which is a shame. Machinimators have quickly learned that if they want special 3D animations or sets done, Pinkhair is the man for the job. Previously known for his Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest entry that narrowly missed being in the top three, he has helped artists such as BaronSoosdon and Ian Beckman in his spare time.In honor of Olibith receiving double platinum on WCM for "I'm only sleeping", Pinkhair finished a timelapse of the saucy filmmaker using Lightwave. WoW Moviewatch: He Will Redeem Us
Our last Warcraftmovies Christmas Spirit Contest machinima comes from the fifth place runner up, Selserene. Her movie, He Will Redeem Us, features a musical adaptation of "Greensleeves," performed by herself on vocals and Rob Munsch on violin. Cinemassively: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas
WoW! It's December already. Not only are you putting decorations out in real life, but you're also collecting holiday loot in your favorite MMOs. Apparently Gabriel Moran didn't get the memo about the exclusivity clause in the WarcraftMovies Christmas Spirit contest. His loss is your gain!Gabriel invited his guildmates along for the ride in this Machinima homage to Bing Crosby's version of "It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas." He mixed framed screenshots with scenes of gnomes singing and reindeer flying, among other things. The credits provide a special treat, as Cole and the chipmunks sing their way into our hearts. I can't wait to see more Christmas machinima!
WarcraftMovies holding annual Christmas Spirit Machinima Contest
Enterprising Machinimists have from today until December 20th, 2007 to deck the halls of World of Warcraft. WarcraftMovies is holding their annual Christmas Spirit Contest and they're feeling quite generous! They're giving out $600 USD in prizes, plus premium membership to their site. WCM will pick the top 5-10 entries for voting between December 21st and December 23rd, 2007, with the winner being announced on the 23rd.Entries must be between 1 and 8 minutes long, including promo and credits. Multiple entries are allowed, but the content should mainly focus on WoW. Please note that the movie requires their promo clip at the beginning, and it must remain exclusively on WarcraftMovies until the winners have been announced.
