The art and science of robotic origami
We're not sure which is more intriguing: the fact that Australian artist Matt Gardiner has created a group of origami-folding robots, dubbed oribots, or the fact that he's not the first to do so. Just months after the first origami-folding robot was introduced at Carnegie Mellon University, Gardiner has unveiled his striking group of robotic paper flowers that literally build and unbuild themselves. We don't know if this marks the start of a trend, but let's just say we won't be surprised if Takara is looking into a consumer version of this right now.
