Pacemakers Safe From WiFi

pacemaker

According to the Mayo Clinic, pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) are safe from WiFi-enabled PDAs. The study apparently only tested the effects WiFi-enabled PDAs had when placed near a pacemaker, not the effects of WiFi signals in general (and especially not the effects of overpowered long-range hacked WiFi tools, but we digress). But we suspect that if it's safe to stick a WiFi receiever next to your chest, you don't have to worry about making a trip to granny's with your WiFi gadgets in tow.
